What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Antojitos Mexicanos, New York patrons should prioritize the elements that the restaurant excels at: its lively drink menu and its core offerings of Mexican comfort food.
Firstly, the bar is a significant draw. It is absolutely worth choosing one of their signature cocktails. The Margaritas Frizadas ($7.00) or the refreshing Paloma ($7.00) are excellent, affordable choices to kick off a meal or a casual evening out. The unique, powerful Bulldog ($16.00) offers an experience for those looking for a premium specialty drink.
In terms of food, despite some mixed reviews on certain meat cuts and preparations, the restaurant's strength lies in its "Antojitos" and quick-bite options. Given its fast service and focus on comfort food, traditional dishes like tacos, huaraches, and enchiladas—which are the heart of Mexican street food—are the most reliable and satisfying choices. While some reviews suggest avoiding the expensive steak entrees, focusing on the smaller plates allows for a perfect sample of the cuisine. The overall positive consensus on flavor and the "traditional look" suggests that the quintessential Mexican flavors are present and worth exploring.
In essence, Antojitos Mexicanos is the place to choose for a cozy, authentic Brooklyn spot to enjoy a great, well-priced Mexican drink alongside classic, quick-service comfort food for a satisfying and efficient lunch or dinner.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food was not that good. The hamburgers were too small. The buffalo wings are not buffalo but instead Chipotle Wings. The aranchera was no good, no taste at all. There was no salt or pepper st all. The vegetales were okay. The T-bone steak is no good. They put a base of cucumbers, so the steak tasted of cucumbers, and they cut the meat in the middle to find out if it was cooked or not. From the drinks that we ordered, the mango margarita wasn't good. The mescalita was okay.
August 03 · Miguel VazquezCame here for date night, this restaurant has a very traditional Mexican look, with great drinks and food!
July 15 · David RamirezSince they open they have giving great service, the food it’s gotten better am not gonna lie, in the beginning it was a little work in progress but I think they have gotten the hang of it. There’s always room to improve but this place has definitely progressed to be better, specially now that they are serving liquor. For me the pozole it’s really amazing, the flavor reminds me of how my mother makes it, for sure takes me back home. Apart from the food and the drinks the place looks clean and the decor is creative, you can tell it’s family oriented. I recommend coming in and having your taste buds remember the type of food your mom or grandma used to cook for you, and drinks can’t go wrong with those.
