Banh Mi Cart Introduce
If you're looking for a truly authentic and delicious Vietnamese food experience in the heart of New York City's Financial District, you have to check out Banh Mi Cart. This popular food cart, often found stationed near Wall Street Plaza, has become a go-to spot for locals and office workers in the area. It's a no-brainer for anyone who loves Vietnamese cuisine and appreciates a delicious meal at a reasonable price. The food is celebrated for its incredible flavor and freshness, with many customers noting that it brings back memories of the vibrant street food scene in Hanoi.
The charm of Banh Mi Cart lies in its simplicity and dedication to quality. Operated by a single, hardworking individual, the cart is a testament to the power of a small-scale business delivering a huge impact on flavor. The main star of the show is, of course, the Vietnamese sandwich, or "banh mi." The bread is exceptional—a crucial component of any great banh mi—and the fillings are generous and packed with flavor. Whether you choose the spicy version of the Roasted Pork Baguette or the classic Special Baguette, each sandwich is a perfect balance of savory meats, fresh herbs, and pickled vegetables. The dedication to hitting all the right flavor notes is what sets this cart apart from many others in the city.
Beyond the sandwiches, Banh Mi Cart also offers a selection of other authentic Vietnamese dishes and beverages. You can find comforting options like Lemongrass Pork Chops and Scallion Pancakes, providing a more substantial meal for lunch or dinner. And no Vietnamese meal is complete without a refreshing beverage, so be sure to grab a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, a rich and powerful brew that is the perfect complement to your meal. The overall atmosphere is casual and straightforward, focused on providing high-quality, delicious comfort food quickly and efficiently, making it a perfect spot for solo dining or a quick bite on the go. The friendly and hardworking nature of the owner also adds to the pleasant experience, making customers feel welcome and appreciated.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This Vietnamese cart is parked right in front of Wall St. Plaza (88 Pine), and is very popular with office workers in the area. The reason being is that the food there is very, very good. Adding to that the reasonable prices and you’ve got a no-brainer for those of us who love Vietnamese food. I order pretty regularly from this truck and this time around it was a pork baguette. It’s full of flavor and is topped with a good amount of veggies. I always get the spicy version because I love that kick. This is one delicious sandwich that you’ve got to try. A few years back I spent two months in Vietnam (Hanoi), and absolutely loved the foodie aspects (no dog, though…I just couldn’t do it). I was able to sample many bizarre and tasty dishes. Whenever I get something from this truck it always reminds me of the streets of Hanoi. I can’t recommend this truck enough, as every dish I’ve had from there has been great, and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do.
August 25 · Michael PantonThis was my first of many visits. I ordered the #1. A classic Bành mí $9. It was even better than I expected it would be. This one man show has all the elements of Vietnamese delicacies. He hit all the flavor notes and the bread was exceptional. The bread makes the sandwich...and all the other components. It was definitely one of my top 3 in the NYC area. There can be a line. He takes cash, Venmo, or Zelle. He works really hard and it was impressive how he does everything in that cart. He even had Pho. Fortunately, it was a sunny day and I could eat outside.
