Bebe Fritay Introduce
For New Yorkers craving an authentic and deeply satisfying taste of the Caribbean, Bebe Fritay in Queens Village stands out as a culinary destination for exceptional Haitian cuisine. This establishment is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of rich Haitian culture and flavor, bringing traditional, home-style cooking to the bustling energy of New York City. Specializing as a Haitian restaurant, Bebe Fritay offers a vibrant and comprehensive menu that captures the heart of the island nation's gastronomy.
The core of the Bebe Fritay experience is their dedication to authentic preparation and generous seasoning, a quality that consistently earns praise from local patrons. Customers often note the feeling of being transported straight to Haiti with every bite, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and the genuine hospitality of the staff. One diner noted, "He makes good food I feel like I'm in Haiti I suggest you guys try this restaurant." This sentiment reflects the restaurant's commitment to delivering a truly authentic experience.
The menu is designed to cater to every craving, from light snacks and quick bites to hearty, traditional main courses. This includes their famous Fritay selections—a Haitian term for fried food platters—and rich, complex stews and soups. Whether you are seeking the comforting heat of traditional spices or the refreshing tang of homemade beverages, Bebe Fritay provides a memorable culinary journey right in the heart of Queens.
While the establishment is highly praised for its exceptional taste and welcoming environment, it is also important for New York users to know what to expect regarding portions and service. The food itself is consistently described as "delicious," "amazing," and "flavorful," with specific items like the Stew Goat ($23.00) and Lalo Dish ($22.00) receiving high marks. The Haitian patties have been called "the best I’ve had in NYC and they are so big too!" However, one review pointed out a desire for more generous meat portions to match the ample rice served on the main dishes. Furthermore, like many popular local spots during peak times, patience may be required, though many reviews ultimately state the food is worth the wait.
Bebe Fritay maintains a casual atmosphere and is a great option for solo dining, as well as for families, being noted as good for kids. Their broad operating hours and diverse offerings make them a flexible choice for various dining needs throughout the day.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Best Haitian patties I’ve had in NYC and they are so big too! I got the combo Pattie with chicken, herring, sausage and eggs.
July 13 · Christine MarcelThe food here is delicious but the issue is the prices don’t match the portion they give you. You get a small amount of meat for an expensive price. They will fill your plate with rice but give you a kids portion of meat and one small container of sauce. I want them to be more generous with the meat portions as much as they give with the rice.
July 19 · Destiny JayOh this place is amazing and so accommodating to my food diets. I was visiting family and was extremely hungry. I was told to stop by another Haitian restaurant for food but luckily they didn’t have anything I wanted, I searched for another and I found this place. I just wished I found this place sooner. My boyfriend and I were welcomed with open hands, we enjoyed the food so much I had to come back the next day (sadly the day I was leaving) and I brought some home for my family to try and it was a hit. I was hosting a party and the only place I could trust with my event was this one. The owners were so kind and so friendly with me and worked with me with all my wishes. My guest loved the food so much and some were from the same area so I’m happy they found a wonderful spot for food. I would like to say thank you so much, I live by so many other Haitian restaurants and I will drive two hours to get to this one they are so inviting so kind the food is delicious it’s worth every dime. Out of every Haitian restaurant I’ve walked into I can say this was the first Haitian restaurant I’ve ever felt had respect for every single one of its guest and from the bottom of my heart I appreciate that. Thank you so much. I will be doing business again 😁
August 08 · KerlsNow I don’t really do reviews all the time but this one was disappointing . I ordered uber eats first of all the delivery fee let alone service fee costs entirely too much after waiting almost 2 hours for my order . The spaghetti tasted old. The sos pwa was so fresh in flavor almost taste like nothing . To top it off they forgot the main thing I wanted which was griot ! So I paid for rice and sauce ! Not even pikliz was added in the bag and I specified that in the notes! Paid almost $70 on this order and trying receive my refund seems impossible with uber even with pictures and proof . I will not be trying again. !
