★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I should start by saying that I am a bit of an ice cream aficionado and try to go to the highest rated places whenever I'm on vacation! (Shout out Martha's in Lake George!!!)We stopped here on our way back from the Jersey shore, and while at the shore I went to nearly a half dozen of the ice cream spots down there. We were just going to go to a random place near the American dream Mall until I stumbled on Boza on Google and noticed it's not only 4.9 Google rating but several glowing reviews from informed members, all stating it is among the best ice cream they've ever had! This was more than enough to get me to make the 10-minute drive from the American dream Mall. When we arrived on a Saturday night at 10:00 p.m., they were relatively busy with only a couple chairs remaining. Staff greeted us warmly when we walked in the door and asked if we had ever been here before and if we would like to try any samples!I got a four scoop ($8.50), two scoops of birthday cake, cookies and cream, and one scoop of cookie dough. The serving size was more than sufficient and was a relatively good value imo.Words cannot describe how good this ice cream was!!! 🤯 It is a notable step up from the majority of ice cream shops that simply sell store-bought ice cream, as all of the flavors here are homemade! The birthday cake was unlike any birthday cake ice cream I have had, with large pieces of actual cake throughout! Things only got better as I got to the cookies and cream, as it was quite possibly the greatest hard ice cream I've ever had in my life!If you are in the area and are a legitimate ice cream aficionado, I highly recommend stopping by! 🍨💪
August 24 · Keith MentonOk so this ice cream was absolutely unbelievable! I travel a lot for work (28 states and 4 provinces) and this is possibly the best ice cream I have had. Clean ingredients, fresh, local dairy and flavors that pop! Wow! Extremely impressed. If you haven’t made the trip yet, you’re missing out. Definitely stop by and give them a shot…it’ll be worth it!
June 24 · zach schmidtAlways on the lookout for places like this not places that serve Hershey's, Gifford's Jack and Jill etc. Boza Cafe and Creamery Lyndhurst opened around August 2024. My wife had strawberry and chocolate mint. I went with mixed berries and chocolate brownie. This is a homemade small batch creamery. Flavors change week to week. Looking forward to trying their Baklava pistachio ice cream when it returns. Finest and freshest ingredients used. Come see Gianna she was very helpful. This is a must stop for ice cream. Also see their location in Fairfield.
June 02 · Jeff AnansonEasily the best ice cream in the area. Every flavor is delicious and the staff is always so nice. Their ice cream has that high end taste and mouth feel. So happy we came across this spot!!
May 20 · Danny AlexWhat a great spot! The homemade ice cream is awesome and plenty of choices! Love all of the toppings. We also picked up a homemade chocolate chip cookie. Plenty of seating and parking on the street.
March 29 · Amy BolligerCame here with my boyfriend since we were in the area and wanted a sweet treat. We googled this place and decided to give it a try and honestly we are so glad we came across it. The girl working in the front was so sweet, her customer service was on point (we’re big on that) and we ended up getting the Biscoff icecream and it was so delicious. Definitely returning and this will be our go to ice cream shop. Definitely recommend 5/5
