July 27 · Pavi ThevaMost of my family and I were born in Yangon, Burma. It's been quite some time since we had Burmese food. For an early Mother's Day celebration, we decided to try Burmese Bites. We ordered a variety of dishes including keema palata, nan gyi thoke, dum pot, tofu thoke, ohno kaukswe, laphet thoke, faluda, and mont lat saung.Overall, I'd give the meal four stars. While the flavors brought back nostalgic memories, the packaging could have been improved—some of the oil from the tofu thoke and laphet thoke leaked into the bag. We were also disappointed with the faluda, which lacked flavor, and the mont lat saung, which was overly sweet and thick. Additionally, we wished monhinga had been available on the menu.Despite some drawbacks, the meal was a special treat, and it was wonderful to enjoy the flavors of home again.
May 12 · Michiko ChanThe chicken curry and paratha. Truly. The best thing at the Queens Night Market. Maybe one of the best curries in NYC. I swear. It’s insanely good. Cinnamon-y, warm flavour. Omg. It’s so delicious. At the night market, it’s a generous portion for $5. Such a great deal.
July 06 · Cassia AMy burmese friend brought me here because she said this is the most authentic burmese food she's ever had in the U.S. And it did not disappoint! We got tea leaf salad and 2 noodle dishes (sorry, not good with names). You can ask them to adjust the spice depending on your tolerance. All the dishes were so flavorful and packs a punch. It's like a flavor bomb in your mouth. The tea leaf salad was my favorite. Loved how refreshing it was. It was crunchy and full of texture. Really helps cut away the grease and helps with how heavy the other dishes are.
January 27 · sharonI finally found an authentic Burmese food in NYC. It’s been so long since I’ve had authentic Burmese food like back home in Burma. If you want to experience authentic Burmese food, this is the place. Everything taste delicious
