★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This bar is the type of institution that people refer to when they say NYC has the most unique and enjoyable nightlife in the world. Walk in, and you're transported straight into the 1970s with conversation ports, a disco ball, and leather couches. The Saturn was the best cocktail I've ever had in my life. The cherry with it made so enjoyable. Would happily come back here just to try it again.Complaints are the slow service - there were only two bartenders there. Cocktails were also $17 - for this neighborhood, that's slightly too pricey.
July 20 · Shah JacobThis bar is lovely. They have so many different separate seating places, they have an outdoor section in the middle of the bar that most people use for smoking. Naturally wine is always a plus in my book & they book really talented DJs every week who play records.
August 06 · Wal-Doe DavisonThe first time I came here was for my friend’s private event, and I haven’t stopped coming back since. Whenever my friends ask where we should go for a drink, someone always says “Carousel”. They have everything- good music, a pool table, dancing, and a cute vintage photo booth. The atmosphere is giving 70s swanky disco party, but they have vinyl DJs who play all different genres from hip hop to punk to deep cut 90s pop. It’s somehow both a place you could dress up and celebrate with a well-crafted cocktail, or be lowkey and have a cheap beer + shot special.Weekends are really chill during the day (plus they have an insane happy hour) but it gets pretty lit at night. I had friends here on a weeknight for my birthday and we got the whole conversation pit to ourselves! The staff made us feel like VIPs even though I didn’t book a reservation. There really is no other bar like this 💟
September 13 · Abbie RichardsI love the owners of this place, and damn did they make a beautiful space, but its a cocktail bar, its priced like a cocktail bar, but their bartenders don't know how to make any real cocktails. I have gotten better cocktails at their other dive bars!first time I was there I got a marg, it was so bad, barely shaken, tasted like simple syrup and tequila. This last time I got a daiquiri, the bartender said they couldn't make it cause they didn't have a blender, I tried to not be rude but but remind them it doesn't need to be blended.I got a drink back that was over ice, tasted like rum and sweet and sour mix, all for 16 dollars.idk, if it wasn't for the amazing smoking room I would give it two stars. I hope they train their staff better, sounds like this is a regular issue.
August 15 · GriffinThe bartender is incredibly prejudiced and racist! I'm here every single weekend, and today, of all days, they suddenly refuse to accept Apple Pay, claiming they don't use it. Is this some kind of new, discriminatory policy?! I'm beyond done with this place; they won't get another cent from me. They clearly pick and choose who they want to treat decently.
