Two amazing ladies working here, they realized we didn’t speak Korean and did their best to explain the food and menus to us. The whole experience was like eating with family! And the noodles are soooo good, and you get a huge bowl! I cannot recommend this place enough 😁

May 17 · Alex HahnThey had a management change 2 years ago. I cannot forget how good it was before. To me, this place used to be the king of Bajirak Kalguksu 바지락 칼국수 and had a very decent Samgyetang 삼계탕. But now it is just a mediocre noodle place. First I noticed we were the only customer at 6:30 pm Thursday, uh-oh. All side dishes did not meet expectation. I would think everyone would agree that kimchi is crucial to Kalguksu place. Broth was a bit run down in Kalguksu, but I liked the Samgyetang broth, and it is the best feature of this place. It does carry strong smell of boiled chicken, which I like but many don't, especially ladies. The big problem with the Samgyetang was that the chicken was overcooked and brittle. Potato and Korean zucchini in Kalguksu were paper thin, but the noodle itself was good. The clams were cheaper kind, and it was just normal portion, not the heaping portion I still remember from 2 years ago.
