July 28 · YUJThis is usually my go-to deli. They’ve been a trusted corner store for me since I moved to this neighborhood a year ago. I’ve lived in NYC my whole life. I know bodegas aren’t the most hygienic or high quality places. I know how to manage my expectations. However, today I went in and got a hash brown, egg, and cheese on a croissant. They have you pick out a croissant obviously and I chose one that looked like it was fine. Well, it’s only after I eat and entire half of the sandwich that I find mold. Very obvious mold. I am severely allergic to mold, so now I’m having to take various allergy medications and god forbid I end up needing to go to the hospital since I don’t have health insurance. I don’t care what the quality standards are, a cook should NEVER allow their customers to walk away with a health hazard they’re about to consume. Needless to say, this is no longer my go-to corner store, as they clearly don’t care about the community because don’t check their inventory regularly enough to make sure customers aren’t eating hazardous food. I would suggest most people in the community stay away from this place as well.
September 19 · Sky DellasalaThis place has gone downhill. Before COVID this was a great place to stop for snacks and had decently friendly service. Now the shelves are always empty. The cashier also tried to blame me for my card being declined when I know I have money in my account. Don’t bother.
September 20 · MichaelGot a turkey sandwich and it was somehow a mush pile of a sandwich and tasted terrible and now I have food poisoning. Should’ve known better. Do not get anything from the Deli here!
December 17 · Maddy Landhad the driest waffle fries in the world, all crunch no softness whatsoever. also asked for a ham omelette and the guy said they only have turkey. so i said sure and he cooked the turkey separately and not inside the eggs ⁉️
