Choosing Colony Grill in Fairfield is a choice for an authentic piece of Connecticut's unique pizza heritage. It is worth choosing for several compelling reasons that resonate with the local palate and lifestyle. First and foremost, the singularity of the Hot Oil Bar Pie is unmatched. It’s a thin, crispy, and flavorful style that stands apart from the famous New Haven-style 'apizza,' offering a different, yet equally iconic, Connecticut pizza experience. The pizza’s thinness also makes it a perfect 'quick bite' for lunch or a late-night snack.
The restaurant’s commitment to excellent hospitality and community is also a strong draw. The casual, family-friendly, and sports-focused atmosphere, coupled with being a place where a wait is usually expected due to high demand, signals its popularity and quality. Furthermore, the extensive beverage selection—ranging from local craft beers to a variety of cocktails and wines—perfectly complements the pizza, making it an excellent spot for social gatherings. Finally, the accommodating nature of the restaurant, from its accessible features to its ability to handle special dietary needs like gluten-free or dairy-free requests for pizza, as mentioned in customer reviews, ensures a welcoming experience for almost everyone. Colony Grill delivers more than just food; it offers a celebrated Connecticut tradition.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Took out a bunch of pizzas last night (Saturday night). Overall, experience was great. I’m allergic to dairy and my friend is gluten free so we haven’t had pizza in soooo long and we were so glad to see they could accommodate our needs! It was a typical loud, busy Saturday. Food was great and held up in the car to be fantastic when we ate it. Only complaint was the toppings seemed to be more on certain slices but it was still delicious!
August 17 · Carly GreenblattAmazing pizza at Colony Grill! 🍕 Thin and crispy crust, perfect sauce, and flavors that keep you coming back for more. Casual vibe, quick service, and the famous hot oil pizza is a must-try. Simple place, but easily the best pizza in Fairfield! 🔥
August 17 · Lioeni NardinColony Grill is a pizza mecca! Their thin-crust pizza is absolutely top notch. It's crispy, flavorful, and made to perfection. While they only offer three types (Margherita, Breakfast, and Salad), each one is unique and delicious in its own way. A standout is they do offer many available pizza toppings to make them your own. Sometimes less is more, and they’ve definitely nailed that approach! The atmosphere was lively and a little loud to where it was hard to have a conversation. Perfect for a casual night out with friends.Highly recommend checking it out if you love good pizza, great beer, and a fun vibe. We will be back!
October 11 · J FlanLoved loved our visit to Colony Grill today. Yummy Yummy pizza! Leana welcomed us with the biggest smile, accommodated us despite how busy they were. She checked on us several times to make sure we were good. Also made the most awesome drink😁Pizza crust is thin, crispy and soooooooo tasty!!!! Love love. My son's new fav... we will definitely be back❤️❤️🍕My 9 year old daughter said "Ms. Leana was So Nice and has a great spirit"!Enjoyed CG!!💞💞💞
July 28 · Noemi Crespo RiceConsistently quality pizza with a thin crust and loads of flavor. Not apizza (New Haven), but closer to a cracker crust without the brunt edges/pockets of the New Haven style. Everything from a cheese to a hot oil to a pepperoni delivers on flavor. It's well rationed, packed with flavor, and not heavy. Crispy and not floppy, this pizza is absolutely worth a stop. The hot oil is the specialty, but any pizza you pick will deliver.Crowded around dinner time and can get loud (bar type environment) but generally there is always a table without a wait. Service is friendly and prompt. A no frills place with a simple menu that delivers.
