Copacabana Introduce
In the heart of Jackson Heights, a neighborhood renowned for its vibrant food scene and cultural diversity, lies a true culinary gem for anyone with an appetite for authentic South American flavors. Copacabana, a Brazilian restaurant and buffet, has become a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike who are seeking a delicious and satisfying meal. The establishment’s atmosphere is described as casual, cozy, and even trendy, creating a comfortable and inviting space that's perfect for a wide variety of diners. Whether you are looking for a quick bite during your lunch break or a full-on dinner with a group, Copacabana is designed to meet your needs. It's a place that brings the warmth and hospitality of Brazil to the bustling streets of New York, making it a truly unique dining experience.
What sets Copacabana apart is its unique self-service buffet and grill concept. This pay-by-weight model is incredibly convenient, allowing customers to customize their plates and try a little bit of everything without the pressure of an all-you-can-eat system. This is especially appealing to adventurous foodies who want to explore different dishes. The restaurant offers a wide range of protein options, from expertly grilled meats like Picanha Do Brasil and Grilled Chicken to other Brazilian classics like Filet Steak Strogonoff and Bobo De Camarao (a shrimp stew). The variety is truly a highlight, with options that cater to meat lovers, as well as those looking for lighter fare. The inclusion of "healthy options" like various salads—such as Kale Salad and Quinoa Salad—makes it a great choice for health-conscious diners. This commitment to variety and quality ensures that every plate is a personalized and satisfying masterpiece.
A significant part of Copacabana's appeal is its ability to cater to a diverse crowd. The restaurant is popular for "solo dining," indicating that it’s a welcoming and comfortable place for individuals to enjoy a meal on their own. At the same time, it is also highly recommended for "groups," as the buffet style allows for easy sharing and a fun, communal dining experience. Furthermore, its reputation for being "good for kids" makes it an ideal spot for families. The casual and cozy atmosphere means parents can relax while their children enjoy the wide array of food options. The availability of desserts like Dessert 3 Milks Cake and Flan ensures a sweet ending to the meal, making the restaurant a hit with diners of all ages.
The service options at Copacabana are designed for maximum convenience, reflecting the fast-paced nature of New York City life. Whether you prefer to dine in and soak up the trendy atmosphere, grab a quick lunch to take back to the office, or have a delicious Brazilian meal delivered right to your doorstep, the choice is yours. The availability of "Delivery," "Takeout," and "Dine-in" options shows the restaurant's commitment to accommodating its customers' varied needs. This flexibility is a key feature that has made it a favorite among locals. Additionally, the restaurant is highly accessible, with a "Wheelchair accessible entrance" and "Wheelchair accessible restroom," making it a welcoming and inclusive space for all members of the community. Free and paid street parking are also available, which is a rare and valued amenity in this part of Queens.
While the business has a "pay by weight" buffet, there are also a variety of individual entrees that can be ordered. This dual menu system provides flexibility for customers who may want a single, perfectly prepared dish rather than a buffet plate. The menu items listed, such as Peixe Ao Molho De Limao (Fish with Lemon Sauce) and Spaghetti Chicken Parm, show a diverse range of offerings that go beyond traditional Brazilian steakhouse fare. The fact that customers note the "friendly and gracious" staff further enhances the dining experience, proving that a warm welcome and attentive service are just as important as the quality of the food itself. The combination of a delicious, customizable menu, a friendly atmosphere, and a focus on customer convenience makes Copacabana a top contender in the Jackson Heights dining scene.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Sure! Here's a polished version for a Google review:Great variety of protein options at reasonable prices. You can pick whatever you'd like, and they charge based on the weight – super convenient!
July 03 · Ploy R.This is a hidden gem I discovered on Tik Tok; it’s quickly become one of my favorite self service buffets in the city! I've always passed by, but now that I'm focusing more on my health, it’s definitely my go-to stop. They have an array of healthy yet filling options. I love the idea of trying new dishes since they always seem to cater to adventurous foodies like myself. My only concern, though, is the lack of labels for the food being served each day. I’m hoping they might introduce some kind of labeling system, because I do want to make some of the food I tried at home and it could really assist those with dietary restrictions, like lactose intolerance. The steak tends to get a little dry if you don't get it just cooked but I’m looking forward to the next time I go; I know I’ll be spending about the same amount I would for two McDonald's meals for one plate but I always leave feeling satisfied knowing I've made a healthier choice. The staff at each location are always friendly and gracious.
March 18 · Rachel SI found myself enjoying every aspect of my visit here. The staff responds quickly to signals. Their workers delivered reliable excellence throughout. Light food with perfectly infused lemon flavor. The area was noteworthy, the dishes were delicious and I had a good time.
July 20 · Ignace ManouryBrazilian BBQ on a budget! You pay per pound at this buffet and everything is self service. There is a good variety of food including different salads, side dishes such as rice and pastas, and meat dishes like pernil, ribs, roasted chicken and stuffed fish. Next to the hot bar is the barbecue station where you ask the cutter for the meats you want. I tried the picanha, skirt steak, and pork sausages and enjoyed them all. I enjoyed the sausages in particular because they had great flavor and a satisfying crunch. It’s a great spot for lunch and dinner if you’re craving grilled meats!
August 22 · Jason YuSo this is definitely on my Top 5 Restaurants in my entire list. I am a bit of a picky eater and I always find very delicious choices that I often have trouble choosing. They have all kinds of sides and meats! They even have fish! The staff is extremely friendly, they just make you feel super welcomed.Parking is not as bad as it might seem, you just have to go around the streets and remember that Sundays parking is free. Also, there is a subway nearby and when you get off is less than five minutes away.I had a tradition for a long time that I would eat there most Fridays after work, even though I live in Connecticut.
