When visiting Costas, the main event is, without a doubt, the arepas and tacos. The arepas, in particular, are a popular choice. The Arepa Pepito, filled with grass-fed short rib, sweet onions, and an avocado-cilantro sauce, and the Arepa Pepiada, with organic shredded chicken, avocado, and mayo, are classic and beloved options. For those who enjoy a variety, the combo deals are a smart choice. The #3: 2 Arepas + Soup or Side or Drink combo is an excellent way to sample multiple flavors and get a full meal.
For taco lovers, the Tacos with Rotisserie Chicken or Al Pastor are known for their flavorful fillings and fresh tortillas. The sides are also worth exploring, particularly the Sweet Plantain & Queso, which offers a delicious balance of sweet and savory.
The fresh juices are another highlight, with the Colombian passion fruit and blackberry juices providing a refreshing and authentic taste of Latin America. While some customer feedback mentions slow service, the consensus on the food quality is overwhelmingly positive, with many people praising the menu's delicious taste and thoughtful composition. Given the quality of the food and the fair prices, it's clear that Costas is a great choice for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Latin street food in Midtown.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Their menu shows thought behind each offering. The Sunday dinner rush filled every seat so delays were natural. The meals taste great, costs stay fair and service is consistently excellent. Our group consumed every morsel - it tasted excellent. Another experience here awaits me.
July 28 · Elsa BennettI recently visited Costas South American Arepas in New York after finding it on Google Maps while I was in the area. I ordered a custom-made arepa with shredded beef, cheese, and plantains, along with the Arepa Pepito, Arepa Pepiada, Arepa Down Under, and the Sancocho soup. I also got a blackberry juice, which was tasty. While the food was decent, the service was slower than expected and not as welcoming as I would have liked. It took away from what could have been a better experience.I believe the place still has a lot of potential with its great menu and it could really benefit from better staff training to improve experience.
October 21 · Lucianny PacherresFound right where you need it with staff who know how to treat customers. The staff provided quick attention with real pleasantness. This place satisfies me completely. The meals here leave you wanting more. I look forward to visiting again to sample more selections.
August 21 · Ignace ManouryGot the Pepito and the Pepiada, as they were recommended as the most popular items. Like others have commented here, they tend to be on the dry side. The box was a bit messy and eating them requires napkins. But overall pretty decent for the price. Had leftovers after lunch that lasted a few days. But the dryness really sets the arepas back
December 04 · Chris HenselerThis place is great. There is no seating. You walk up put your order in and when it is ready you take and go. I really like the food here. Delicious. I had the create your own which is 2 of the Arepas. You can order 2 chicken or 2 beef. No mixing. Then u add up to 3 toppings, then pick your sauce. I had the mango sauce. They are worth the price.
