Absolute yummy food against crazy low prices. Pizza is super delicious and huge. Hotdogs tasty and cheap. Strawberry vanilla ice cream creamy and huge. Staff is really too unorganized here. Everybody just does something in random order it seems. I've experienced other Costco's where it was much clearer who did what.Don't order pizza together with other items as they won't serve you the other items until the pizza is done and they forget stuff. Just make it two different orders.Just fun to sit here and watch people buy the craziest things.Restrooms were clean. Easy to reach by metro. - Koen Zomers

Costco Food Court Introduce

For many New Yorkers, a trip to the warehouse club is more than just a bulk shopping spree—it’s a pilgrimage that must conclude with a visit to the iconic Costco Food Court. Located in the bustling Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, this food court transcends its humble "food court" label to become a genuine institution, celebrated not for gourmet cuisine but for something far more valuable in NYC: colossal portions at impossibly low prices. It represents the ultimate in no-frills, satisfying, and shockingly affordable dining. The food court is a testament to value, making it a must-visit spot whether you need a quick refuel after a lengthy shopping run or are just looking for one of the city's greatest dining bargains.

The atmosphere here is distinctly casual, fast-paced, and energetic, perfectly fitting the high-volume nature of the warehouse store. It's a place where you'll find everyone from families grabbing a quick bite to solo shoppers taking a well-deserved break, often enjoying a little people-watching while seated. While one customer noted that the service organization can sometimes seem "unorganized" compared to other locations, the overwhelmingly positive consensus is that the value of the food—from the "super delicious and huge" pizza to the "creamy and huge" ice cream—is absolutely unbeatable, making any minor wait worthwhile. The menu is intentionally brief, focusing on classics that have achieved legendary status for their size and cost, ensuring a consistently quick and satisfying experience for the local Brooklyn crowd.

It is important to note for new visitors that while the food court used to be open to all, it is now generally restricted to active Costco members only for making purchases. This ensures that the incredible value is reserved for those within the Costco community, though clever New Yorkers may find a workaround (like using a Shop Card) to still enjoy the experience.

Location and Accessibility for Brooklyn Residents

The Costco Food Court is located inside the Costco warehouse in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, making it a highly accessible destination for local New Yorkers. Its location provides excellent convenience for shoppers and residents in the surrounding areas.

Address: 976 3rd Ave #318b, Brooklyn, NY 11232, USA

Accessibility is a major strength of this location, particularly for a large-format retail store in New York City. For those who drive, a significant perk is the Free parking lot—a rare and valuable amenity in this part of Brooklyn. For patrons relying on public transportation, one local reviewer specifically noted that the location is "Easy to reach by metro," referring to the nearby subway and bus connections that serve the industrial and commercial zone of Sunset Park. Furthermore, the establishment is committed to inclusive access, providing:

  • Wheelchair accessible entrance
  • Wheelchair accessible parking lot
  • Wheelchair accessible restroom

Features and Highlights of the Menu

The food court menu is legendary not just for its cost, but for its core, consistently satisfying items. These are the fan favorites that keep New Yorkers coming back.

  • The Iconic Hot Dog Combo: The undisputed champion of value, the hot dog and soda combo famously costs only $1.50—a price point that has remained unchanged for decades, defying inflation and making it the best quick lunch deal in the city. The hot dogs are large and served with a 20-ounce soda that includes free refills.
  • Unbeatable Pizza: Available by the slice or as a massive 18-inch whole pie for under $10 (available in Cheese or Pepperoni), the pizza is a beloved feature. Customers rave about the slices being "super delicious and huge," offering an immense amount of satisfying food for a minimal price.
  • The Chicken Bake: A warm, savory comfort food item, this baked turnover is filled with chicken, cheese, Caesar dressing, and bacon, serving as a hearty, distinctively Costco meal for a great price.
  • Soft Serve Ice Cream: The ice cream is a creamy, huge dessert that is a must-have. Menu options often include a classic Ice Cream Cup (Vanilla or Chocolate) or an Ice Cream Sundae (with Chocolate or Strawberry topping) that are both generously portioned and incredibly cheap.
  • Newer Favorites and Classics: Menu additions like the Cold Brew Mocha Freeze and the Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie provide modern treats that continue the tradition of high-value, satisfying options.

What is Worth Choosing

For a New Yorker visiting the Costco Food Court, the decision isn't just about what tastes good; it's about embracing the quintessential Costco food court experience.

The Ultimate Must-Try: The $1.50 Hot Dog and Soda Combo. This is non-negotiable. It's not just food; it's a legendary piece of American retail culture and quite possibly the best dollar-for-dollar meal deal on the entire East Coast. As one reviewer mentioned, a common pitfall is placing a mixed order; a pro-tip is to "Just make it two different orders" to ensure a faster receipt of your other items, especially if the hot dog is the priority.

The Giant Pizza Slice. At only $1.99 for an enormous slice, it’s a filling and satisfying second choice. For those feeding a group in Brooklyn, ordering the entire 18-inch pizza for under $10 remains an outstanding, budget-friendly option for any impromptu gathering.

Finally, to cap off the experience, choose a dessert like the Strawberry Vanilla Ice Cream (which customers describe as "creamy and huge"). This provides the perfect sweet contrast to the savory hot items.

Choosing the Costco Food Court means choosing unparalleled value, convenience (especially with the free parking), and a quick, satisfying meal in a casual, highly-accessible environment right in the heart of Sunset Park. It’s the perfect endcap to any shopping trip or a deliberate stop for a massive, cheap meal.
