★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Estancia Piola hosted us for a private event. Stacey was a pleasure to work with on the menu and the set-up for dinner. The food was incredible (guests are still talking about it), everything was beautiful, exactly what we were looking and hoping for.
March 13 · Joshua WalkerGreat atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening. Lovely vibes, music volume was perfect, the place looks clean and very organized. The food is awesome. My favorite empanadas in Brooklyn.
June 20 · Deion AriasWe were excited to try this new plane especially after hearing that they've have a sister restaurant in the city that's been open for almost 30 years. No easy feat in NYC.Unfortunately, despite very friendly staff, the food was not great. The do ask if you want bread and it came warm with pesto that was good. The meat empanada was so moltenly hot that little of the sauce fell out of it and singed my face. The spinach one was not as hot, but the filling was bland. I thought the sauce with the empanadas was going to be like chimichurri, but it was also bland with more oil than fresh herbs so I wasn't sure if that was what it was supposed to be.The sauce on the shrimp appetizer was tasty, but the shrimp were overcooked which was also the case for both our chicken Milanese and my burger that I requested be medium. In defense of the server, I chose not to send it back to be recooked, because we wanted to leave due to a very loud guest, at the bar, who was carrying on a conversation with the bartender. They served a very generous side salad with the Milanese and a generous amount of avocado and tomatoes on top. The other accompaniments on the burger were fine, the fries were decent. The side dish of spinach was good. Our server knew what she was doing, but I did hear an inexperienced server at the next table. She didn't ask for a drink order before trying to take dinner order. She didn't know the difference between a ribeye and a skirt steak and made up some ridiculous answer. She talked them into doubling their empanada order and then didn't double the order so they only got one order.Definitely needs some tweaks to the food and the service.
January 11 · Jackie Gordon Singing ChefAs Argentineans trying out an Argentinean place, we were very happy with this place. We need to try out more items but so far the muzzarella sticks were great, and the chicken milanesa was outstanding. Would love to see them widen their wine selection soon, and include a couple more traditional desserts (flan!)
November 22 · Bianca RitortoA wonderful addition to the Park Slope/Gowanus dining scene. Decor transports one to Argentina with wood boards hanging up & charming accents throughout the restaurant. We stopped by for Happy Hour and had the beef & cheese empanada, chorizo, cheese, tomato arugula salad; and focaccia bread with dip. An extensive menu; and brunch on the weekends. You owe it to yourself to go. Next we’ll bring a group of friends to have dinner there. For those who love a joyful environment, festive food and a caring staff.
