Harlem Baking Co. is designed to provide a flexible and convenient experience for its customers, offering various service options to accommodate different needs and preferences.
Takeout: As a dessert shop, takeout is a primary service option. This allows customers to quickly pick up their favorite desserts, coffees, and sodas to enjoy at their leisure, whether they're heading home or to a nearby park.
In-store pickup: This service is ideal for those who prefer to order ahead, ensuring their selection is ready for a quick and seamless pickup when they arrive. This is particularly useful for those planning a quick visit and wanting to avoid a wait.
Delivery & No-contact delivery: The dessert shop offers both standard and no-contact delivery options. This is a crucial service in a city like New York, allowing customers to get their sweet fix delivered right to their door with ease and safety, which is a major convenience for a last-minute treat or a planned dessert course for a dinner party.
The menu at Harlem Baking Co. is a testament to quality over quantity, focusing on premium desserts and beverages.
Desserts: The star of the show is the "Our Desserts" collection, which includes a "Premium Combo Pack of 6 Assorted Flavors." These desserts, often served in jars, are known for their quality. Customers have praised the "creamy chocolate mousse" for being "whipped to perfection" and the tiramisu for its "tasty" flavor. Other options include the "Apple Cinnamon Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream," a classic "Lloyd's Carrot Cake," and cannolis.
Cannolis and Other Selections: A key highlight is the "Classic Large Cannoli," a timeless Italian treat. This shows the shop’s range beyond their jarred desserts and caters to classic dessert lovers. The menu also includes other tempting selections that add to its variety.
Coffees: To perfectly complement their sweets, Harlem Baking Co. serves a selection of coffees made from "freshly grounded Italian espresso beans." This includes classics like "Americano," "Iced Americano," and "Cappuccino," making it a great stop for an afternoon pick-me-up.
Italian Sodas: For a refreshing drink, they offer a selection of Italian sodas in unique flavors like "Limonetta" (Lemon) and "Melograno" (Pomegranate), all made with "Antica Ricetta Siciliana," which means they are made from an ancient Sicilian recipe, ensuring an authentic taste.
What makes Harlem Baking Co. truly worth choosing over other dessert spots in New York? The answer is in its dedication to quality, its unique product offerings, and its understanding of the modern customer. While a negative review mentioned an issue with a specific molten chocolate cake and ice cream, the overall sentiment from multiple reviews points to the high quality and deliciousness of their other core products, particularly the mousses, cheesecakes, and cannolis. The praise for the "creamy chocolate mousse" and the "tiramisu flavor" is a strong indicator of the quality that can be expected.
The concept of desserts in a jar is a clever and appealing one, offering a convenient, portable, and aesthetically pleasing way to enjoy a premium treat. It also highlights their commitment to fresh, local ingredients and small-batch production, ensuring each dessert is made with care and attention. The variety of payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, adds to the convenience. Whether you are looking for a quick pick-me-up or a luxurious treat to share, Harlem Baking Co. offers a unique and high-quality experience that stands out in the crowded New York dessert scene. It's a place where you can taste the love and care in every bite, making it a valuable addition to the city's culinary landscape.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1UPDATE: gave it another try and I am sold on the creamy chocolate mousse. The mousse is whipped to perfection as it is fluffy and light. The chocolate flavor tastes natural with no additives. The tiramisu flavor is still a must try, but the biscotti crust cheesecake was too decadent and underwhelming in taste.REVIEW FROM 10 MONTHS AGO (3 stars rating): tasty and not overly sweet cheesecakes in a jar. I liked the tiramisu flavor the most. The original flavor had an unnatural taste to it. I didn't like how the cannoli was presented, but it was delicious.
November 08 · Céline A.I ordered the molten chocolate cake off GrubHub and it's such a cute idea I was really impressed. The cake itself taste so bad, it tastes like brown cardboard or what I imagine military rations taste like. And the ice cream is just that cheap cup that used to come in school lunches. I wouldn't eat this again even if it were free. Not even the coffee was good.
August 05 · Zakeenah SmithOrdered the biscotti cheesecake for takeout. The cheesecake was flavorful but wasn’t much in the container and seemed like a high price for such a small amount. I think this may be a dessert better ordered in a larger size and shareable.
May 14 · Deena SmithOut of this world pumpkin cheesecake!!!! I mean, truly out of this world. This will be my go to dessert every time I’m giving a birthday gift, hosting an event or enjoying a meal with family….and, I bought a bunch frozen to keep my own stash at home at all times!!!!
September 27 · Dr JoAn MonacoI've been ordering from here for the last few years, and I can't say enough good things about them! Their Key Lime pie is an absolutely amazing, and it's just one of the many incredible deserts they offer.Tonight, I encountered a hiccup with my Uber Eats order, and I decided to give them a call. Charles, from their team, was incredibly responsive. He promptly called me back and efficiently resolved the issue over the phone. That level of customer support is truly exceptional and speaks volumes about the dedication of the team at Harlem Baking Company. This place has consistently delivered not only delicious baked goods but also top-notch customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to order from them. I know I'll continue to do so for many more years to come!
