For New Yorkers seeking a reliably authentic and welcoming Caribbean dining experience, Hot Pot International Restaurant offers several compelling reasons to choose it over others.
First and foremost, the restaurant's strongest endorsement is the quality of its traditional West Indian staples and the consistently praised hospitality. The owner's friendly demeanor and the staff's politeness create a delightful, "not crowded" environment, which is a rare and valued commodity in Queens. When the food, such as the praised Ackee & Saltfish with Provision, hits the mark, it offers a true taste of home-style island cooking that is hard to beat.

This business not only serves food but also acts as a friendly neighborhood gathering spot, perfect for families (Good for kids) or anyone looking for a Casual place to enjoy a delicious meal.
While the menu is vast enough to satisfy cravings for Oxtail and other heavy meat dishes, based on customer sentiment, visitors should focus on the highly recommended traditional dishes and appreciate the personal, cozy, and non-crowded atmosphere that the restaurant provides. For a combination of authentic Jamaican Comfort food and genuinely warm service right in the heart of Queens, Hot Pot International is a highly recommended choice.

June 08 · Shamiyah BurkeThis restaurant is small & cozy. They have a variety of West Indian food. My meal Ackee & Saltfish with Provision was delicious. The owner was nice, polite, and very friendly. If you are in the mood for West Indian food & looking for a cozy atmosphere that is not crowded, grab a bite here. Friendly staff/cook as well.
January 23 · YaneakI have been eating delicious home cooked food from this restaurant for many years. The owner is like family and her establishment is one of the few if dare I say only remaining staples of Laurelton, along with Key Food and the dry cleaners from long ago. 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, and today. Many have come only a few have lasted. God bless!
November 01 · Hope's DaughterI recently discovered this place and I’ve been back several times since. The food is consistently good, and the staff are always friendly. I’ve had the Curry Goat, Oxtail, Stew Peas so far, and no disappointments. I actually prefer this place over the chain restaurants just a few blocks away. I would definitely recommend trying out this local spot if you are looking for good Caribbean style meal from a restaurant with a real mom and pop shop feel.
June 25 · kimiceeThe food is really Jamaican! Full of flavor, spicy, tasteful! It has a grandmother cooking kinda vibes to it which makes you appreciate the authenticity of the food and setting. It's definitely not commercialize but rather unique in feel
