The menu is expansive, but certain dishes have cemented their place as local must-tries, whether you prefer a classic New York slice or a full Italian entree.
First and foremost, the local specialty and highly-regarded item is the Penne Vodka, which is available both as a standalone pasta dish and as a topping on their famous specialty pizzas. The creamy, flavorful pink sauce is a clear crowd-pleaser and is frequently listed as a fan-favorite. New York pizza aficionados often judge a spot by its plain cheese slice, and while the regular slice is considered solid, many agree that Katonah Pizza & Pasta truly shines when you opt for one of their creative specialty slices. The Chicken Vodka Pizza slice is a perfect fusion of their beloved pasta dish and classic New York pizza, creating a decadent, savory experience that is a local legend in itself. Other specialty slices that garner high praise for their robust flavor profiles include the Buffalo Chicken Pizza slice for those who like a kick, the Taco Pizza slice for a unique fusion, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch slice, often highlighted as a local favorite for its balanced richness.
Beyond pizza, the main dishes are a draw for a satisfying, homestyle Italian meal. Customers consistently praise their pasta dishes, with the Fettuccine Carbonara and Baked Ziti being mentioned as excellent choices. The red sauce—often described as rich and homemade—is also a clear reason to choose any of their pasta or chicken parmigiana dishes. For a quick side, the Jumbo Wings with Fries are a popular best-seller, proving that this Italian-American joint excels at more than just its namesake offerings. Lastly, Katonah Pizza & Pasta has successfully adapted to modern dietary needs by providing a variety of healthy and gluten-free alternatives, including their cauliflower crust and whole-wheat focaccia options. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Popped in for a slice and asked if they had a grandma they gave me this weird corner that had heavy tomato and no noticeable garlic or basil. I got a regular slice too, the regular slice was par at best, sauce not outstanding but still better than the tomato breadstick shaped like a square they sold me claiming to be a grandma. These guys need a field trip to little Italy pizza shop on church and chambers to learn what a real grandma slice is
June 12 · Electronics GuruI order Stromboli & cheese steak sub. They put American cheese on both. The sub had NO cheese inside with slices of American cheese laid on top. They even put American cheese in the Stromboli. I live too far away to return it, but never again.
February 17 · Paris RichardsonI’ve been coming here from the first day I moved into the Bronx! Good pizza good food! Trying new dishes we find the food is delicious. This past Sunday I ordered a Meatlovers Pizza which I have before but this pizza won the Gold Medal! My guests loved the pizza it was AMAZING! I give it at 10+10Keep up the great recipes!Linda
August 05 · Linda GoldkranzThe food here is nothing to brag about—fairly mediocre overall. The baked clams were the one highlight, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. While the service comes off as friendly on the surface, it quickly becomes overshadowed by the owner openly expressing their dislike for the community I work with. Their discriminatory attitude toward certain groups of people is unacceptable. An establishment that takes money from paying customers should welcome all guests equally, regardless of their disability, or sexual orientation. Because of this behavior, they will not receive another penny from me.
August 28 · Brittanylee TomlinsonIt’s just a neighborhood pizzeria… It has four tables that are comfortable to sit at. The variety of pizzas are fabulous.I come here for their red sauce! Taste like my Nonna’s. Pasta, meatballs & chicken dishes are very good too!!!
