★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been waiting for a long time to try anything from Kora and finally happen and didn’t disappointed! Everything was delicious 😋!! Of course my #1 was the croissant with cheese and a sweet cream inside, I’m a croissant lover and that one is in my top five favorites croissants I ever ate. The ube donut was delicious as well, the flan one was good too but nothing to die for. I also try the ube latte and it was really good. So far I was so happy to have the chance to try some of the popular items and I understand why the long line to get inside this bakery! If you are in the area definitely check it out! 🥰
August 09 · Joana ArocaThis Filipino bakery in Sunnyside, Queens, has a very clean and welcoming interior, making it a comfortable place to visit. The bakery offers amazing breads that can easily rival popular spots in Manhattan. They have a wide variety of Filipino-inspired breads, such as purple yam pastries, buns filled with flan, and croissants topped with plenty of coconut. Each item is unique, creative, and incredibly delicious—truly unlike anything I’ve tried before. It’s the perfect spot when you want to try something different from your usual bread. They also offer interesting drinks, like taro (purple yam) lattes, which I highly recommend.Because it’s a popular spot, the store can get busy, and you might have to wait about 10 minutes. Finding a seat can also be a little tricky, but takeout is always a great option. Even just one pastry is worth trying—this bakery is definitely highly recommended.
August 20 · S. B.We went on Saturday around noon, the line was long but it goes pretty fast. They let in a whole bunch of people at once and when they are done they let in the next bunch. We waited only around 20 mins before we were eating our pastries. The savory spam and cheese right out of the oven was delicious. Doughy donuts were better than the crullers (really not worth getting with the other choices). Cookies were delicious as well, nice flavor and chewy texture. They are constantly making all the donuts so they don’t run out of things.
August 02 · Jing YangOne of my favorite donuts in the city. Great selection of flavors and other types of pastries. It’s a fairly decent sized spot with some interior seating. The drinks are good too so come by and grab a box of treats and one of their lattes. It’s worth making the trip for. Highly recommend any of their speciality lattes, the salted coco jam is worth a try!Just a note that there may be a line to get in but it didn’t take us too long. Maybe around 15 minutes to get in on a weekend morning.
June 19 · Christina W.Kora is the perfect bakery experience for any NYC tourist and local! I was so impressed with our entire visit from the moment we got in line. We arrived around 9am and there was already a line out the door(which was a great sign). One of the owners came out to greet everyone waiting outside to make sure we were doing okay which was a nice, personal touch. As soon we entered, I was extremely impressed with how clean the establishment is and how cute the aesthetic is inside! The chairs were very comfy with plenty of seating and tables to hang out if you’re strategic to find an open spot. We got basically one of everything and enjoyed every pastry!!! My favorites were the spam and cheese pain susse (the BEST laminate dough plus savory melted pimento cheese and umami spam), ensaymada croissant (a beautiful marriage of the laminate dough hugged by traditional Filipino ensaymada butter, sugar and cheese) and the apple tamarind fritter (the most moist and crisp exterior apple fritter with the exotic flavor of tangy tamarind). I got the most delicious salted coco latte and my sister and friend got the pandan matcha and ube latte & their drinks were delicious!!!!!!They also have mastered their customer rapport. Every single staff member greeted us with a smile, were extremely patient and answered any questions that we had. You can tell both of the owners wanted to create a hospitable space in the community where they provide accessible Filipino flavors while making you feel like you’re a part of the family. We are so grateful to have experienced this amazing establishment and will be thinking about these unique treats, drinks and experience until the next time we visit NYC!
