The restaurant's name, which translates to "the white sheep," speaks to its philosophy of standing out by staying true to its roots. Unlike many places that chase fleeting trends, La Pecora Bianca focuses on doing classic Italian food exceptionally well. This dedication is evident in the rave reviews from customers who describe the pasta as so fresh and authentic it surpasses what they've had in Italy. The menu is a carefully curated selection of Italian staples, with a modern twist that keeps it exciting. It’s a place that is just as perfect for a solo diner looking for a quick, healthy bite as it is for a large group celebrating a special occasion. The exceptional service, highlighted by the staff's kindness and attentiveness, further enhances the dining experience, making it clear why a reservation is often a necessity.
La Pecora Bianca is situated at a prime location at 1133 Broadway, New York, NY 10010, within the vibrant NoMad (North of Madison Square Park) neighborhood. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Way better than the pastas I had in Rome. The best pasta ever! The moment you chew into the pasta you can taste the authenticity. It’s all handmade, so fresh and chewy. For appetizers we had the Gazpacho which was a little chunky but delicious. The tomato salad you can skip, nothing special. Burrata with honey and chilly flakes is a must!Highly recommend! And make sure you have a reservation. We went with a toddler and staff were so kind to accommodate us even though it was completely packed. We made reservation ten minutes beforehand and somehow got a table inside. They have plenty of seats outside but it was too hot. We went on a weekday around six but all tables were full.
July 14 · Maya KThe food there is 10 out of 5! It is super delicious! The restaurant gets busy in the evening and a reservation is advisable. It gets a bit noisy but not too bad. It's easy to spend $50 per person there and it's worth every penny.
August 21 · Stan ShargorsWe went for dinner around 6.30pm on a Sunday. We made a reservation and I would suggest you make one before going. We had the "Burrata" as an appetizer, and we shared the "Brussels Salad" and "Garganelli". All good choices. All pasta is homemade. The menu seems specialized (not too many options). Everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked really good. The beverage menu has several options.
September 07 · Carlos Vivas AugierOur experience at La Pecora Bianca was so-so. The service was excellent and definitely deserving of five stars. The staff were friendly and attentive the whole time. We walked in on a Sunday around 7 PM and got a table right away, which was convenient. The food, unfortunately, was nothing special. We ordered the shrimp campanelle, pork chop entree, and New York strip steak. The pasta was the only dish we really enjoyed. The pork chop was underwhelming, and the steak could have used more seasoning. It also seemed overcooked even though we asked for medium rare. The place itself was quaint and had a relaxed vibe. Overall, it was not a bad experience but not memorable either.
June 20 · Bong ArquizaThis restaurant had the potential for a 5-star review, but the unprofessional behavior of the reception staff significantly detracted from what could have been an exceptional visit. The pasta dishes were absolutely delectable, showcasing culinary excellence that should have defined the evening.Upon arrival, despite having made a reservation, I was informed that my table wasn’t ready and was asked to wait 20–30 minutes. When I questioned the purpose of reserving a table if I couldn’t be seated on time, the staff reluctantly arranged a table, revealing that one was, in fact, available. This inconsistency was frustrating, compounded by their condescending tone and lack of eye contact, which made the interaction feel dismissive and unwelcoming.Once seated, the experience improved dramatically—the food was outstanding, and the service from the waitstaff was commendable. However, the initial encounter with the reception team cast a shadow over an otherwise delightful meal. A more courteous and professional approach at the front desk would elevate this restaurant to the exceptional experience it has the potential to deliver.
