★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had such a great experience at Lost Borough Ice Cream in Yonkers. I went with my family, who are visiting from the Dominican Republic, and since we’re all huge ice cream fans, I really wanted them to try something different, something that didn’t taste so mass-produced or overly processed. I was looking for quality, creativity, and flavor, and this spot delivered all of it.My best friend recommended Lost Borough and honestly, it did not disappoint. I had a waffle cone with the Bizcocho and Red Velvet flavors, and wow!! Both were so rich, creamy, and full of flavor, but not too sweet. The Banana Pudding too was a huge hit with my family, everyone was obsessed with it, and we were still talking about it.But the flavors weren’t the only highlight, the service was amazing. Diego and Taylor were both super patient and friendly, which I appreciated so much because we had to try some flavors before our final pick.Whether you’re local or just visiting, this place is definitely worth checking out. It’s everything you want from an ice cream shop, creative flavors, great quality, and genuinely kind people behind the counter. Can’t wait to go again!
August 05 · Aileen munozI've been meaning to try this place. We've driven past a couple of times this summer but didn't stop because the line was out the door, wrapped around the building. We finally went today (Labor Day) and surprisingly, there wasn't a line! And we found parking right in front of the entrance. As soon as we walked in, we noticed it's a small place (no tables or chairs to eat)...no wonder the line always looked long! Two to three steps through the front door and you're at the counter looking down at the different types of ice cream. Lol. My son had one scoop of mango sorbet, Mangochinolada, in a cup and I had two scoops, Messy Girl and Yonkers Blackout in a waffle bowl. My son enjoyed his and so did I. I think I should have just gotten 2 scoops of Messy Girl. I liked Yonkers Blackout but for the first time trying them, I should have only gotten one flavor to really be able to critique it. We also bought a pint of their famous Banana Pudding. We haven't tried it yet, so I can't rate it. We'd definitely go back if we're already in the area.
September 01 · Jenn J.Today, my fiancé and I were having a nice walk and craving ice cream. We watched a reel on Instagram about an ice cream shop in Yonkers, so we went to try it. The guy who took care of us was very polite and friendly. My fiancé had the chocolate cookies and cream; he loved it. I had the Papi Chulo flavor (piña colada with cherry)—it was amazing! I think you should come by and try the ice cream flavors they have. Mind you, you can try two sample flavors. I will come back to try another flavor soon.
June 08 · Raquel FigueroaFive Stars!Hands down the BEST banana pudding in the entire state! The flavor is perfectly balanced—sweet, creamy, and packed with fresh banana goodness. The texture is silky smooth with just the right amount of vanilla wafers. Every bite feels like pure comfort. I’ve tried banana pudding all over, and nothing even comes close. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true treat done right.
May 12 · A 1I went with a friend for the first time and we had a really good experience. They let us try a few of their flavors and I have to say, that made the decision even harder, they were all delicious! The place is small but we were able to sit inside, I love the mural they have in the ceiling of some Yonkers iconic places.
