I asked the hotel concierge for a coffee shop recommendation and he said “Matto”. Was a few steps from my hotel and quaint. This is a simple place with really good coffee and the kicker is “everything is $2.50” (when you use the mobile app) $3.50 in Store. The whole menu! This is coffee, pastries, and food perfection.

The price is simply unbeatable. The coffee is decent, a bit over-roasted, however you're paying 2.50 for it. What can you expect? The folks who work here are always amazing though, fast service and very nice. I really appreciate that the low cost of coffee leaves lots of room to tip!

There is no shortage of coffee places in lower Manhattan. Went here today and got an iced coffee and a slice of pound cake. The coffee was decent but the coffee cake tasted not so fresh. The staff was very kind and nice though.
