What is Worth Choosing
To fully appreciate Mito's unique blend of Asian fusion and modern dining, New Yorkers should gravitate toward the dishes and drinks that exemplify its creativity and commitment to high-quality ingredients.
The ideal order should be structured around three key elements: a signature cold plate, a luxurious hot appetizer, and a bespoke cocktail.
**1. The Signature Cold Plate: Spicy Tuna Gyoza or Crispy Rice Sushi.**
These items exemplify Mito’s fusion creativity. The **Spicy Tuna Gyoza** ($15.00) offers a delightful textural and flavor combination, while the **Crispy Rice Sushi** ($15.00) is a modern sushi favorite that showcases the kitchen's flair for presentation and contrast. Either choice guarantees a beautiful, flavorful start that is highly distinct from standard New York sushi bars.
**2. The Luxurious Hot Appetizer: Wagyu Beef Dumpling or Black Truffle Fried Rice.**
The **Wagyu Beef Dumpling** ($8.00) signals a premium approach to a classic dish, while the **Black Truffle Fried Rice** ($13.00) is a sophisticated side that adds an element of luxury and aromatic richness to the meal. These choices demonstrate that Mito excels in both its sushi bar and its kitchen offerings.
**3. The Cocktail Highlight:**
Given the praise for the bar program, ordering a **Signature Cocktail** is a must. The **Lychee Martini** or the **Yuzu Tree** are excellent choices for a refreshing, well-balanced drink that incorporates distinct Asian flavors, perfectly complementing the meal’s profile. This final touch ensures the dining experience is complete, embodying the trendy and culinary spirit of this Downtown Brooklyn spot.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Mito is definitely a must-visit spot in Brooklyn! ✨ The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a colorful, modern atmosphere that feels both stylish and full of energy—perfect for a date night or a fun evening with friends. The food is absolutely delicious ,every dish is beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The menu is very diverse, offering everything from classic sushi to creative Japanese fusion dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The cocktails are another highlight —unique, well-balanced, and stunningly served. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and their weekday 3-course menu is such a great deal.Overall, Mito combines amazing flavors, variety, and a vibrant atmosphere at a fair price. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Brooklyn!
September 10 · Mehmet Ç (Holamemodios)Spent an excellent dinner with the family after a long train ride from my Long Island office. The atmosphere was cozy and made all of us felt at ease. The staff was attentive, courteous and seemed to know when to fill our water, serve, or replace plates and utensils without being overbearing. Then there was the food. Wow! We ordered different appetizers and entrees to share and the large portions were a pleasant surprised. Sashimi was fresh and had a good variety of fish. The pan fried snapper was a delight, and we finished on a high note with mochi and tempura ice cream. It was such a good experience that we've told friends about it, and are planning to go back again.
July 04 · Steve MGood food and ambiance. The service was quick and great too, they were very quick to make sure our party was comfortable and hydrated, as well as ensuring we were well taken care of. And this place is honestly beautiful. I came for happy hour with my friends and it's honestly pretty hard to beat with the prices. Solid good food.
May 08 · Valerie WongRun, don’t walk here. Fresh delicious sushi in Downtown Brooklyn at an incredible price! Don’t sleep on the calamari, the Joker Roll or the vanilla mochi desert. I absolutely enjoyed it and will be back for a sashimi meal as their fish is very high quality and fresh.
September 20 · Steph MossOrdered take out from them and I would recommend from this selection…. The pork dumplings! The California roll was good but as we know there not much that can make a California roll outstanding, but that’s just the roll, it was still really well done.Edamame was well cooked, I wish I had a bit of salt for it tho.The Mongolian chicken wasn’t my favorite, but not because it was bad, I could tell that some would definitely like it. It was spicy (pepper spicy) and juicy, the veggies were well done too. I just prefer when spicy food has more than just spicy flavor. The multigrain rice was definitely unique, I liked it.Overall really nice place in a great location.
