★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Second time at Molto! Alexis was an excellent waitress. Our food came out hot and delicious - you could tell it was cooked to order and the pasta was homemade. The Apple Butter cake was phenomenal. We weren’t rushed at all, we truly enjoyed our meal. Just about everyone was friendly and welcoming from the hostess to our waitress to the servers (the “manager” not so much). This would have been a 5 star rating if management had handled the following situation better. Story time: After reviewing their menu online and in-person, I decided to order one of their popular pasta dishes that was posted online a few times (most recently 8/9/25) and advertised on their social media account as the “best pasta dish in Fairfield.” Unfortunately, what arrived was a completely different dish from what I thought I was ordering based on what was in the video. Turns out, whoever handles their social media posted a video of a pasta dish but used the wrong name and description (so what arrived, was not what I had seen in their video). It was pretty much a catfish situation lol (what I ordered vs. what I got). I returned the wrong order and I asked to order something else (apparently, the “best pasta dish in Fairfield” isn’t a current menu item so they couldn’t even bring out the correct dish). To add insult to injury, the manager asked me twice if I “read what was on the menu” 🙄..That question should have been directed to whoever is posting to their social media account, not sure what the point was in asking me (other than being rude). But yes, I actually read the menu a couple of times and that’s why I decided to order it (especially because of how it looked in the video). Also, the same ingredients in the menu description were the same ingredients being shown in the video as the dish was being prepared and it had the same name and description as what was listed on the menu (all of which I READ). Reading the menu doesn’t negate the fact that someone on your team used the wrong name and description to identify what dish was being cooked in the video (ultimately misleading customers and causing the wrong dish to be ordered). I later found out the dish being made in their video should have been titled Linguine do Mare, not Linguine Aqua Pazzo (turns out both dishes have similar main ingredients so reading the menu would not make a difference — that’s probably why the mistake was made in the first place). As a manager, instead of being visibly annoyed, he should have apologized and taken full accountability for the wrong dish being advertised and expressed his frustration or disappointment to his social media manager (since this has happened before), not the customer patronizing his business. He should be more focused on preventing false advertising than trying to place blame on the guest. You never know what someone is going through so we decided to extend him grace, ignore his poor attitude and continue to enjoy our dining experience. Alexis completely empathized and said she understood how their post was misleading and she would have thought the same thing I did (that the information provided in the video was accurate and I would have no reason to think I would be receiving an entirely different dish after placing my order) and she apologized for their error. She most definitely earned her tip (that her manager almost ruined). All in all, despite that mishap, we had a great time celebrating my friend’s birthday. Thank you to, Alexis for being a wonderful waitress, the cooks who made delicious meals (the calamari was fried to perfection) and the overall staff who showed us great hospitality. SN: Not sure what happened to their signature Molto wine glasses but they were missed.
