★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Stop what you're doing, safely get off the train, and get yourself a pork belly taco right now.Seriously, stop reading this and start moving. Your only regret will be not ordering a second (or third!).I also sampled the duck, chicken, and steak tacos – all fantastic, but the steak taco was the undeniable champion of the three. Did not expect the punch of flavor for a taco spot in the city.Consider this your friendly warning: one taco is never enough. If I could do it over, I would do two pork and two steaks. Thank me later.
June 24 · Edgar Ruiz Jr.Except for the tortilla chips, the two tacos and salsa were disappointing. Dirty Taco, located in the lower ground floor of the Grand Central Station, has been open for one and a half years. It's quite possible that commuters and visitors stop by to have something here. Yesterday I didn't want to have my usual picks so came here for tacos. I chose a pork carnita and a pork belly taco. Plus chips and salsa. When I opened the bag to stand and eat at a table the plate had juice all over which had made the tortillas soggy. The fillings were not flavorful. I didn't care for the salsa either. This was a waste of $17+change.
July 11 · Sabena SinghDining Concourse at Grand Central Terminal89 E. 42nd St.New York, NY 10017Dirty TacoDuck CarnitasThe taco was moderately piled with duck meat and topped with medium salsa and chopped onions. The taste was excellent, but based on this minute size it should not be classified on the menu as a regular size taco.
May 14 · Jeff T. CriticOk Mexican food with nowhere to sit. The birria had no flavor. Not sure why this is so hard to figure out. The costillas were good. A bit crispy. The carnitas were good. Very juicy. I told the cashier that I wanted them spicy 🌶️. They alas, were not. The agua fresca was good but a very small portion for the side. Tacos are an average of $5 each. This food post has no seating. So I ate standing up at a nearby communal eating area.
March 24 · O V HYes, we know the tacos are on the pricey side, but they’re absolutely worth it. These might be the best tacos I’ve ever had. I’d choose Dirty Tacos over Los Tacos No. 1 any day! My favorite is the Korean steak taco—it’s super juicy and packed with flavor. The al pastor comes in as a close second, so tender and delicious. Every now and then, I treat myself to the crispy duck skin taco—it’s to die for! And if you love hot sauce like I do, you’ve got to try the XXX hot sauce. It’s insanely spicy with a great kick. I’m obsessed!
