Nestled in the heart of Queens, New York, Morocho Bakery & Restaurant is a true culinary destination for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Ecuadorian culture. The dual nature of the business—serving as both a bakery and a restaurant—provides a comprehensive and satisfying experience for its patrons.
The menu at Morocho is an extensive journey through Ecuadorian cuisine. From the "Appetizers Antojitos" section, you can start your meal with classics like Humitas, a steamed corn dough delicacy, or Bolon De Verde, a fried green plantain ball. A customer review even highlights a specific item, calling the "corn and cheese desert" (likely a sweet steamed corn dough like Humitas or Quimbolitos) "marvelous." The restaurant also offers hearty lunch and dinner options, including a variety of soups and stews. Weekend specials, such as Encebollado De Pescado (fish stew) and Seco De Chivo (goat stew), provide a deeper dive into regional specialties. The "best empanada" praised by a customer review is a testament to the quality of their baked goods.
The bakery section itself is a highlight, offering a variety of breads, including Pan De Chocolate, Pan De Coco, and the intriguing Roscas. These items, along with a selection of desserts like Tres Leches cake and flan, provide a perfect end to a meal or a delightful treat for a coffee break. The menu is rounded out with a wide selection of fresh juices, shakes, and traditional Ecuadorian beverages like Morocho (corn pudding) and Horchata, offering a taste of authentic drinks you won't find everywhere. This comprehensive menu ensures that no matter the time of day or the size of your appetite, there is always something delicious waiting for you.

July 19 · Nana KuduhovaPlace is small but nice, service is good, the food is fresh and tasty
July 26 · johnny RGreat mini restaurant that have a quick Ecuadorian bite!
August 17 · veronica hurtadoFood is not bad, the costumer service is not really something I can consider good, I didn’t feel welcome. They charged me a lot for some oat milk and a bread with pork, then, after I paid with debit card the added another dollar to the already nonsense price. They lady behind the counter kinda looked at me and looked away after the transaction, like trying to avoid me. I was the only one there. I would not recommend this place at all, they take advantage of people and have terrible costumer service.
July 12 · Marlon RomeroService was ok. Nice people, however the food, not great at all.Very little options from the food that was put out. I ordered from their bbq ribs and they were so salty, i was only able to eat one piece and my mouth couldn't take it anymore
