In an area as saturated with dining options as Times Square, O'Casey's stands out for its unique blend of traditional Irish pub character and reliable, high-quality service. What makes it worth choosing is its ability to deliver an authentic and consistently positive dining experience. The real customer reviews speak volumes about this, with one diner praising the "good experience" and another stating that the "food was exceptional" and that they want to come back for all the dishes. This type of feedback highlights the restaurant's commitment to both great food and a welcoming environment.
The menu, with its familiar favorites and hearty portions, is a major draw. The steak served on a cast iron griddle, for example, is a memorable dish that is both delicious and unique. While a customer from outside of New York might be surprised by the cost of a drink, it is a reflection of the city's market and does not detract from the overall quality of the food and service. The staff's "decent attention to detail" and proficiency, as mentioned in a review, show that the team is dedicated to providing a top-notch experience.
The atmosphere of O'Casey's is also a key factor. It's not a flashy, over-the-top tourist spot; instead, it offers a cozy and casual setting that feels genuine. This makes it a great option for those who want a break from the commercial chaos of the area. It is a place where you can sit down, have a great meal, enjoy a drink, and feel a sense of warmth and comfort. For a reliable, friendly, and delicious dining experience that feels like a hidden gem in the heart of Times Square, O'Casey's is an excellent and worthy choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We went to dinner here because we were looking for a local place close to our hotel at Times Square. We were able to get right in and had a good experience. The steak was good and stayed very hot with the cast iron griddle. I asked for an additional ice tea and was charged an extra $4 for the drink. It's not something I am used to in Ohio.Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere and service were good. I would eat here again.
August 08 · Brett RabungThis place serves familiar favorites. The staff showed decent attention to detail. They validate their proficiency consistently. Their dishes consistently surprise. The food was exceptional. I want to come back for all their dishes.
August 22 · Ivan PoljakovGreat little dive bar. Bartender was very friendly & my glass was always full. Highly recommend this place for strong drinks & deep conversations. 🍺🍻🍷🍸🥂🍹🗣️
December 04 · Ronnie BenzGreat little Irish pub right in the heart of Times Square.. honestly a hidden gem that isn’t buried with tourists, just a little bit. Friendly staff, stiff drinks and good food.
July 28 · Jim AlfordVodka Cran is $16 but it’s strong & the geezer behind the bar was cool plus the atmosphere was nice.If you’re galavanting around Times Square and you need to get liquored up, tell your shopping comrades that you’re going for a walk. Head to this place, slam down a couple then meet back up with your shopping friends. Plus they even show premier league games and boxing. So it’s all good.
