★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Patacon (Smashed Plantain Sandwich) - A sandwich that is made using patacones, which are flattened and fried green plantains used as bread or bunsI got the Paisa Patacon, stuffed with grilled steak, grilled chorizo, fresh slices of avocado, sunny side up egg, ketchup, and salsa verde, $15.25If the item description wasn’t convincing enough, this was freakingggg delicious. Apparently you can choose the type of plantain for the sandwich, either a green plantain that’s a little harder or a sweet plantain that’s softer. I wish I knew that before ordering because I definitely would’ve gone with the sweet plantain. But the fault’s on the cashier, who both didn’t tell me and also just gave me the green one by default, even though he admitted after the fact that most people order the sweet version. Also, they serve the patacon with three bottles of sauce on the side.
April 12 · Umarbin SiddikiIt's a small restaurant but its portions are worth it for the prices ❤️ It was my first time trying "Patacon" and I was not disappointed. It was delicious and the staff were very friendly and polite. I recommend this place if you want to try Venezuelan food :)
February 14 · Rebecca ZhangOverall a great spot. The yuca fries were my favorite. They’re perfectly crispy and the pickled onions are a great palette cleanser. I prefer the plantain over the crunch wrap. I didn’t love the chorizo - it’s more of a sausage than the crumbly spicy chorizo I expected. Love love the sauces the food comes with. I would definitely come again 8/10.
June 22 · Samantha YThe worst place to eat Venezuelan food—completely inauthentic. The atmosphere was nonexistent, and the space was very uncomfortable. The staff was incredibly rude; he even had headphones on while taking our order and was very short with us. This place does not represent Venezuela in any way. The tequeños were frozen, as was most of the food, and everything lacked freshness. The arepas were also frozen and reheated. The only redeeming quality was that they had Frescolita and Malta.
January 08 · Valeria EscrichWhile, the food is great, I will no longer be eating here. Every time I have placed an order there has been an issue with the staff stating that the order does not come through at the time it’s placed from the website. I have attempted to mitigate this by calling the restaurant and confirming they’ve received my order ahead of time. Somehow, they still aren’t able to have it completed when I arrive at the restaurant. When traveling to pick up food, it is incredibly frustrating to arrive only to be told. It will be another 15 minutes because the staff did didn’t receive the order.
