★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The atmosphere is classic and unpretentious. The bacon appetizer is a must-try. I don’t eat beef myself, but my family does. Peter Luger is their go-to steakhouse in New York. I usually get bacon, Lamb chop, tomato and onion. And we can’t leave without their homemade whipped cream! Service is fast, portions are huge with old school vibe.Prices are on the higher side, but you’re paying for top-quality beef and a true New York tradition.
August 12 · Nana J.We visited as a group of three — two women (Two women who usually have small appetites) and one man — and ordered the steak for two, baked potato, tomato and onion, and spinach. The portions were generous, and we left feeling very full and satisfied. Our reservation was for 5:45 PM on a Tuesday evening. Although getting to the restaurant during rush hour from Manhattan was a bit challenging and the location was somewhat unusual, it was absolutely worth it. It was the best steak I’ve ever had, and the high price felt completely justified. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the place was quite busy. I would definitely visit again.
July 30 · Jenny ShinPeter Luger’s in Brooklyn is more than just a steakhouse to me it’s a place tied to childhood memories. I remember going here as a kid, back when the area in the 90s was still pretty rough. Walking up to the restaurant back then gave you that real New York City grit, but once you were inside it was all about the food. The steaks have always been top notch, and the atmosphere feels like it hasn’t changed much over the years, which I love. It’s not just about the mealit’s about the tradition and the history. For me, Peter Luger’s will always be a classic New York experience.
September 11 · John GonsalvesI'm obsessed with this steak! 🥩🤤 It's the most delicious, juicy steak I've ever had! No sauce needed, it's perfect on its own. Cooked to perfection and totally worth it. The salad was amazing too, especially with their homemade dressing and fresh veggies. The complimentary bread with their butter was so soft and yummy, and the gold coin chocolate was like Hershey's! Everything was fantastic. Definitely coming back! Reservations are recommended. Huge shoutout to our waiter - great humor and conversation! Highly recommend this NYC restaurant! 💯😍 #Steak #NYC #Foodie #Restaurant #Dinner #Salad #Chocolate #Butter #Waiter #Reservation
June 28 · Rachelle YaoAlways a pleasure dining at the original Peter Luger location. Great for special occasions and business luncheons. Shrimp cocktail was colossal, so was the beefsteak tomato and onion appetizer. And the steak? To die for. Highly recommend the creamed spinach, it’s exceptionally delicious. Cheesecake for dessert capped everything off nicely, and don’t forget the Schläg and gold coins at the end of your meal. The austere service style is a well-known cornerstone of the whole experience, don’t expect any bells or whistles from your server. Overall, always a memorable experience here. I’ll definitely be back.
