What is Worth Choosing
When dining at Primal Cut, it's worth starting with one of their standout appetizers. The "North Country Smokehouse Bacon" is a popular choice, offering a thick, savory, and flavorful start to the meal. For a more indulgent beginning, the "Jumbo Lump Crab Cake" is a must-try, known for its rich flavor and generous portion. To truly experience the breadth of their menu, consider a starter from the "Sushi Selection," such as the "Spicy Tuna Roll," which is a surprising and fresh addition to a classic steakhouse meal.
For the main course, the steaks are, of course, the main event. The "Ribeye Steak Dry Aged (20 oz.)" is a top choice for a reason, offering a deep, concentrated flavor that only comes from a quality dry-aging process. For those who prefer a more traditional cut, the "New York Strip (14 oz.)" is a classic and reliable option. The "All Natural Cuts," such as the "New York Strip Aspen Ridge Farms," are also highly recommended for their high-quality sourcing and clean flavor. While the menu is meat-focused, vegetarian options and creative side dishes like the highly-praised potato gratin and the "Crispy Brussels Sprouts" ensure everyone finds something they love.
To complete the meal, a selection from their extensive wine list is a must. The staff can help you find the perfect pairing for your cut of choice. For dessert, the "Fudgy Brownie Sundae FOR 2" is a perfect way to share a sweet finish. Ultimately, what makes Primal Cut worth choosing is its incredible combination of top-tier quality, unique menu items, and a late-night dining option that is nearly impossible to find at this level of quality in the city. It's a place that delivers a memorable experience from start to finish, earning its reputation as a true gem in the New York dining scene.

Primal Cut Steakhouse Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Truly an underrated gem. I went here with my bf for some late night steaks (they serve dinner until 2am, pretty amazing) and boy were we impressed. It was like Michelin star, better than Capital Grill for sure. My favorite was the potato gratin (super thin sliced potato, buttery, truffly, melt in your mouth goodness). I wanted to leave this review bc I never thought a club like this would have such a great restaurant! Plus great bar and service of course. Don’t sleep on it!!
February 03 · Sarah BourekWhen I tell you that I am beyond going away by the service and incredible food we received, words don't cut it. We received a butcher block with some of the best steak I've had in New York City for an amazing deal of only $76, their best Thursday special! The bartenders and wait staff were so professional and attended our table in such a timely manner, and their General manager, Desmond, Checked in on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with the food and the service !!I can't wait to return with more of my friends to show them my new favorite steakhouse!
February 01 · Alexis LeeI went on a Thursday with my boyfriend and another couple and we had an amazing meal the steaks were cooked to perfection! The scalloped potatoes were amazing !
