Sabor de Colombia Reviews
Great decor, great service, incredibly delicious food. I had breakfast which is available all day long; perfect eggs, perfect cheesy arepa, and the best bacon i can remember ever eating. To quench my thirst, I had a drink new to me, can sugar lemonade. It was not too sweet and very refreshing.
August 06 · Verena OteyThis restaurant is where the Spice Szechuan restaurant used to be. This review is based on a first time visit, and that’s why I gave 4/5 stars for food. I will be back to try other dishes. The service was great and as the waitstaff took our orders, the server called in the food to the kitchen so we didn’t have to wait extra for the food to come out. Our group enjoyed everything that was ordered/served. The staff even asked us if we had any suggestions and I gave my compliments on the food and a tiny suggestion. We’re looking forward to our next visit. We had freshly made mango juice, tostones with guacamole and chicharron on top, the table sauce is a bit spicy and we enjoyed it, everyone’s steak or beef was cooked perfectly, the soup was tasty and it came with rice, avocado, salad and a sweet banana all served together in one dish. We enjoyed the ample seating and the atmosphere.
March 23 · Ana CastroHad a lovely Colombian birthday dinner here with some mama friends on a Friday night, and it was such a fun experience! The owner, Sandra, is warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Staff was friendly too, though not the most proactive — we had to ask a few times for things like sharing plates, soup spoons, and bags for leftovers.**Food highlights:*** Mini beef and chicken empanadas (6 pcs): Perfect appetizer size, with moist and flavorful fillings.* Fried pork belly with avocado and tostones: Crispy, rich, and delicious.* Super Picada para dos: A tower with fried pork belly, mini hot dogs, sausages, beef, baked potatoes, and fries. The menu says it comes with pork ribs, but we didn’t see any. Honestly, this was more than enough for the 6 of us to share, so we probably didn’t need the extra garlic fried pork with potatoes (a bit too starchy).* Fried red snapper: A little too dry for my taste.* Short rib soup: On the saltier side, but flavorful and comforting, especially paired with the boiled pork. I’d definitely order this again. What really made the night special was the personal touch — staff brought out Colombian hats and maracas for us to take fun photos, and they surprised me with a complimentary tres leches cake for my birthday. The tres leche cake was perfection: creamy, moist, and the caramel filling added the best texture. The banana pudding cake should have been warmed up before serving and the blueberry cake was too cakey and sweet for me.Sandra also mentioned they’re expanding the menu soon with ceviche, calamari, and mamy more, so good reason to go back. They even have a kids menu, so I can see this being a great spot for family outings too.IG: Jubes111 Youtube: Jujubi Fam
September 08 · ROSElin831The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Colombian/Spanish cuisine. An additional location is in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn. Servers are available for customers when dining in. I ordered soup, calentado de mi abuela and pechuga de pollo a la parrilla. The food was very good and well-prepared. My bill included an extra charge for taking my order to go. I was not aware of the added charge. The added charge was in Spanish on my receipt. Friendly staff at the restaurant.
August 15 · Steven NechamkinThe food was really good! My friend recommended this Columbian place so we all went together. The servers were very welcoming and it was a nice spot to sit and chat while eating.
