★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I am both angry and disappointed with my recent experience at the Avenue A location. Listen people, I went into that location to buy a steam fish food, which was not available. I decided to buy a small food (white rice with a little steam veg ..oxtail gravy and a few slices of cucumber....No Meat). I was charged $6 ..After inquiring about the price..I was told that I cannot mix 2 sides...So check this people...The rice cost $3......The steam veg cost $2 (LOOK AT THE PORTION) and $1 for the 6 slices of cucumber...THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS ...What made it worse...I have called, since Saturday, 12 times in total to speak with the boss/manager. I am still waiting on a call back or the time to speak to someone in charge.....Don't get me wrong the food is great but the customer response is horrible.
March 28 · Rich HoweLove the food. But don't get me wrong. The workers and their attitude is which I don't love. When you walk in, not even a smile you get and their attitude stinks. I even put money in the tip jar a couple of times and I still get mistreatment. So if you do go there for food, pray and hope that you get a satisfaction and a beautiful facial expression because if you do, then you are one lucky fella.
December 29 · Bekah PhilThe food is marginally good. They're sloppy in dishing out the food and some of the staff, but mostly the management are way too ill-mannered towards the customers. Today, I'm pleased to see that they actually cleaned up that greasy, smelly sidewalk where they empty the food scraps from dumpster and then sloppily attempt to clean, but more often than not leave an even bigger and smelly mess.
November 29 · Mercedes ClarkeMe and my wife would go there two times a day almost everyday and the food is great! But after getting mistreated by the morning crew over and over again, I would never go back in the am because when you report it to the owner and they still laugh in your face, then I don't care how good the food is I'll take my money and business elsewhere cause there are about 100 restaurants in Brooklyn that knows how to at least deal with the public.. And please believe I am not the only one that don't care for the morning crew!! If I had a crew decreasing my numbers instead of increasing, especially when it comes to my costumers, somebody will have to go and please believe it would not be the person that helping to keep my lights on!! If we the people start taking advantage of our rights and utilizing them, change will come or enough negative complaints to the better business bureau will get them eventually close down, it can happen people!! Since the last time I posted this, service has gotten much better.. So hats off to the management team..
March 02 · Tony LucasMy daughter told me about this s place so I decided to try their oxtail Oh what a waste of my money. First of all I bought a large oxtailAnd got the very small part of the tail every single piece I know that oxtail is served big medium small sizes but I got all the end of the tail and on top of that the food was salty and without good seasoning. All evening my daughter have to be apologising for the insipid taste because she said the food is normally good. I am glad I was not the one who went to the restaurant. My first-time and my last time.
