★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food was really good — so good I came here 2 times in one week. My dad is Thai and I am leaving to Thailand this weekend, but this restaurant lived up to expectations. The Koong Karee and Beef Pad See Ew were the best. Also, Louis was the sweetest server! Thank you so much for the birthday shots! Their attentiveness was great.
August 14 · Tanya IttimeykinAmazing food at Soothr. So tasty and flavorful. They didn’t have much for options regarding non alcoholic cocktails but they made me their signature Rose Quartz as nonalcoholic and it was delicious. Started with the duck rolls which came out pipping hot and had a good plum sauce to go with it. I definitely recommend this. Had the Spicy braised beef Pad Krapow for the entree which came with a side of rice. It was tasty but didn’t come with much sauce. So keep that in mind if going for that. But all in all, great food and good portion sizes. Their service was excellent also. As I went during the lunch special I had a complimentary side of their meatballs. Delicious.
August 28 · lolita lThe food was awesome, the service was very good. I really loved Gavin, water was always filled up, his service was brilliant, very friendly. I ordered the noodles that came with crab meat, I’d recommend anyone to try it, it has a layer of curry with it which blends perfectly with the other ingredients. :)
September 17 · Xinyi LiSoothr, a highly sought-after Thai restaurant nestled in Manhattan, offers an authentic culinary journey that, despite a few practical considerations, leaves a lasting impression. Securing a reservation is essential for this popular spot, though be prepared for a brief wait even with one; we experienced a 10-minute delay before being seated, which is a minor point to note. Once inside, the ambiance is undeniably nice, creating an inviting atmosphere, though the space itself is quite small, contributing to a bustling and somewhat loud environment. The service is good, efficiently managing the flow of diners, albeit with a noticeable sense of being rushed due to a time limit on your stay.Despite the pace, the culinary offerings at Soothr truly shine. The drinks we ordered were both delicious and commendably strong, providing a great start to the meal. For appetizers, the spring rolls and curry puffs were exceptionally good and flavorful, setting a high standard for what was to come. The main courses, particularly the shrimp curry and crab fried rice, were the undisputed stars of the show; we devoured them in one sitting, captivated by their incredible taste and authenticity. It's important to consider the cost, as Soothr is on the pricier side, with our meal for two totaling around $150. Additionally, parking in the area is non-existent, so planning alternative transportation is advisable. Despite the minor inconveniences of a wait, a small and loud space, and a rushed service, the exceptional quality of the food, especially the main dishes, makes Soothr a compelling destination. We are certainly eager to return to explore more of their enticing menu.
July 27 · Emmanuel RamosSoothr is a restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere and great decoration. Our waiter, Gavin, was very patient and took his time answering all of our questions and offering suggestions. The music is a bit loud, which makes it difficult to hear and speak at times but otherwise fits the atmosphere. The service was very quick and the food came our shortly after we ordered. The dishes were flavorful but if you're a Thai connoisseur you may not be impressed. The servings are decent although the people I was with felt they were small, so if you're used to larger portions you may be disappointed. The prices are, of course, a bit high for what it is.If you come we, highly recommend getting a reservation because if you do walk-in you're limited to an hour at your table. The hour is enough time to eat with how quick the food comes out but if you don't like to rush, definitely make a reservation. Also, you can only be seated if your whole party is present so keep that in mind!Overall, good experience but I wouldn't say you should go out of your way to dine here.
