★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been coming here since the soft opening, every single time the service and food have been amazing. The chefs have always selected amazing courses, and the friendliness is of the charts. If you have a reservation they even have a cozy nook for you to relax up on arriving early. Will be back again and again, definitely make a visit if you can.
September 11 · Aniekan UdoFrom a value perspective, Tatsuda Omakase was one of the better experiences I've had. My life wasn't changed, but considering the price point and convenience, it was fantastic. There were a few standouts - the unagi with foie gras, bluefin tuna, and wagyu with truffle. That said, everything was great - there wasn't a piece I didn't enjoy.I was also really impressed with how well-prepared they were. The fish was very well organized and portioned before we arrived, and our chef moved through all 16 courses with great efficiency - rarely did we wait more than a few minutes between courses. All in all - highly recommended and will likely return with more frequency in the future.
April 25 · Alec WatneyThis intimate restaurant is definitely a gem. I’m a little over halfway through with lunch omakase and I had to go ahead and leave a review because it’s just THAT good. Every course has been memorable. The service and drinks are great. Worth every penny. I’d come back to NYC just for this!
August 14 · mariah clabornWe made a reservation here as part of the little itinerary I was making for my wife and I during our trip in NYC. This was one of the closest omakase around the area from the pier we were just in and I couldn't be happier that this was the place we chose for Omakase. 16 dish dinner course for a price that couldn't be beat and the attentive staff that we had serving us from waiting at the wait area throughout the whole experience. If you have any preference on fish, you could ask the chef if it could be changed up to something else or you could let him choose an alternative. A la carte available. I recommend getting the sake flight so you could pair it with the fish. My wife was feeling cold and it showed on her face. The staff serving us asked if we were doing fine and I expressed that my wife was just feeling cold. Immediately, they turned down the AC and offered if she wanted some hot tea. She also doesn't have a big appetite so she's been giving me the other dish presented and the staff member noticed. She's too bashful so I told them that she doesn't have a big appetite and got full too easily. They offered to limit the rice or give the fish as a sashimi but the chef can't lessen the fish as the cuts are precise. The staff member to the chef ensured that it was fine and said some reassuring words.TLDR: The chef and the staff provided SUPERB service and the dishes that came out were all very good. Worth the price and I am absolutely happy we went here for our omakase night! Definitely did not disappoint!
August 06 · Cyannie GenAbsolutely one of the best omakases in Manhattan. A very small place with an amazing deal, I believe less than $100 for around 14 or 16 pieces if I remember correctly. Every single piece was delicious and they don't skimp on the good stuff like Uni, Wagyu and fatty tuna. I have been here three times and even went on their opening day and the service is fantastic. They even have a little sitting area on the side where they kept on offering us free sake and water because my friend and I were catching up after not seeing each other for so long. The staff is beyond attentive and the drinks are very pictureless and delicious too! Like I said, I've been there three times and 100% recommend this place and will be back!
