For the Adventurous Local and Latin Food Enthusiast:
The number one choice should be the specialty that customers rave about: the pupusas. The explicit praise for them being the "Best pupusas in the market" is a powerful testament to their quality and authenticity. This is a must-try item that distinguishes Trinacria from standard delis. Additionally, if the Beef Soup is offered, while the price point may be higher ($17, based on a review), the inclusion of this traditional, hearty dish with sides like rice, tortillas, and lemon suggests a significant, culturally authentic, and fulfilling meal for those seeking comforting, home-style fare.
For the Traditional Deli and Italian Food Lover:
If you are craving classic Italian deli food, focus on the robust sub and panini selection. The Trinacria's Famous Italian Sausage Sub or the Chicken Parmesan Sub are reliable, hearty choices that deliver the expected comfort food experience. Alternatively, the specialty paninis, such as the Porchetta Panini with its dry-rubbed roasted pork, offer a more gourmet Italian sandwich experience.
Important Considerations for First-Time Visitors:
Potential patrons should be aware of a few logistical points mentioned in public feedback:
- Cash/Zelle Only: Be prepared with Cash or Zelle as these are cited as the accepted payment methods.
- Food Handling Note: While the Department of Health is the appropriate authority for addressing cleanliness concerns, it is worth noting that a customer review expressed dissatisfaction with food handling practices and encouraged attention to sanitation standards.
- Pricing: As mentioned, be aware that some specialty items, like the beef soup, may have a premium price tag ($17), so confirming the price before ordering is always a good practice.
In summary, Trinacria Bakery Shop is a genuine local spot whose strongest selling points are its friendly community service and the quality of its standout specialty items, particularly its internationally-inspired menu options. It’s an ideal place for a quick, flavorful breakfast or lunch takeout in the Inwood area.

August 06 · Josiah$17 for a beef soup? From a hole-in-the-wall?? And she had the audacity to ask if I wanted rice, tortillas, and lemon with it. Are you kidding me!!! Plus, she did not wear any gloves, she actually grabbed my food with her bared hand and took my cash with the same hand. First time and last time for me. The Department of Health should pay them a visit. Cash only or Zelles.
