The reason to choose Urgut Osh Markazi centers on its authentic and extensive menu that offers a genuine taste of Central Asian cooking. For any New Yorker looking to explore Uzbek cuisine, the selection here is impressive. You must try the signature dish, **Plov**, which is available as a **Plov only ($14.99)** option or a full **Plov Combo ($21.99)**. Other must-try **Hot Entrees** include the large **Manti 5Pcs ($14.99)**, the unique **Xonum ($14.99)**, and the variety of **Tandir Kebab** (available by the pound).
The Shish Kebab section is particularly noteworthy, offering various options like **Lamb Chops ($14.99)**, **Beef Lula ($7.99)**, and **Chicken ($7.99)** skewers, all perfect for sharing or a hearty meal. Soups are also a staple of the cuisine, with options like **Lagman ($12.99)** and the traditional **Shurbo ($8.99)** offering deep, comforting flavors. Appetizers are well-represented by the various **Samsa**—savory pastries filled with beef, lamb, pumpkin, or spinach. The restaurant’s extensive dining options, which include **Breakfast** and **Late-night food**, along with **Halal food**, offer substantial flexibility to the community.
**A Crucial Note for Diners:** While the menu and amenities are robust, the restaurant’s public reviews indicate extremely serious concerns regarding operational consistency, customer service, and, most critically, hygiene standards, with reports of long waits, forgotten orders, and food quality issues that have led to health complaints. For this reason, while the menu potential is high, we advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution and consider this factual information alongside the rich offerings. Management must prioritize addressing these severe service and hygiene complaints for the restaurant's quality cuisine to truly be appreciated by the Brooklyn community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Absolutely disgusting to have had food at this restaurant I ended being taken to the hospital due to the fact that whoever made my meal had 0% respect for culinary discipline and disregards of any hygiene! I warn you DO NOT EAT HERE! AGAIN DO NOT EAT HERE! This was one of the meals I had ordered I waited over an hour for my food and they had someone who cares less about your health and well being but more about breaking a buck! The platter was filled up to more than a half with this dark crude oil! My cars oil is cleaner than this! This is some 3rd country people who reuse their oil because they can’t afford to use new oil! I have made a complaint with sanitation and you already have multiple violations! I hope this place shuts down so no one can ever encounter what I had to encounter! Take your money else where!! I never write reviews but I had to this time! July 08 · Yousef Selman
- Extremely disappointed with the service. My order was accepted, but then completely forgotten. After waiting for 10 minutes, I asked how much longer it would take, and only then was I told they had forgotten about it. I had to place the order again. The total waiting time ended up being 30 minutes. When I finally received my order, I noticed on the way that they had forgotten to include two samsas. I had to go back to get them. They did give them to me, but unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. On my way to the metro, the bag tore due to the leaking oil from the plov. The grease stained my brand-new trench coat! A very unpleasant experience overall, and I definitely won’t be returning! April 19 · Evgeniya 2710
- Everything that we ordered was delicious! We had plov, dumplings, lamb, and garden salad. We are definitely coming back. Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu! May 22 · Olga Sizova
- Food is so bad ,they are using old meat and hard to chew with lots of fat. Service isnt good . Inside of restaurant is hot like hell . They dont have any Ac or cooler . July 31 · Maga Johnson
- Yesterday afternoon, I brought my guests from Michigan to try their Qurutob, and it was absolutely delicious! This dish is a must-try for anyone looking to explore a unique and flavorful new taste—perfect for a once-in-a-week or monthly treat.Special mention to the waiter who wore a cap—his service was top-notch and added to the experience. Amazingly served 👍 and Highly recommended for both the food and the hospitality! December 10 · Шерзод Адумажидов
