What is Worth Choosing
For a New Yorker in Bayside, choosing a pizza place means evaluating quality, variety, and convenience. VIPizza stands out because it successfully blends a classic, unpretentious pizza joint atmosphere with a surprisingly deep and diverse menu. While one customer review mentioned that the pizza was "ok, beyond ordinary but not excellent yet," and noted high prices for certain items, another highlighted that "the counter man was polite" and the overall price was "reasonable," suggesting a generally positive service experience and a decent product. The variety, however, is the real selling point.
What is truly worth choosing at VIPizza is the opportunity to explore the specific pizza styles that define the New York region. Instead of settling for a generic slice, you can sample distinct, traditional options. The Sicilian Pizza and the Neapolitan Pizza serve as excellent benchmarks for the restaurant’s core quality. However, the items that represent the local specialty best are the Grandma Pizza and Grandpa Pizza. These rustic, rectangular pies, known for their thin crust and fresh, chunky tomato sauce, are local favorites and are a must-try for anyone looking for an authentic Bayside pizza experience.
Furthermore, the convenience factor cannot be overstated. The combination of Late-night food, No-contact delivery, and the availability of Free parking lot makes VIPizza exceptionally valuable to the local population. Whether you are a college student needing a quick, filling meal, a family looking for easy takeout, or a local needing a substantial bite after dark, VIPizza is set up to serve those needs efficiently. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Decent experience. Not worth $6 a slice. These prices are ridiculous and the quality is not there. Ordered the Margherita Pizza slice and garlic knots along with a chicken knot or something my friend ordered.Didnt find the taste of either the garlic knots or the pizza to be appealing. Cost $23 cash for two medium sodas, one margerita slice, one chicken bun sandwich or something. Too much. The atmosphere was decent. Just a regular pizza joint. Nothing fancy. Nothing spectacular either.
June 14 · Sunny PThe pizza was ok, beyond ordinary but not excellent yet , price is reasonable and the counter man was polite. Recommend.
August 31 · Edmond PThis place has been on my bucket list for years. Everyone I know who has eaten there has great things to say about their food. They all recommend the Sicilian slice but rave about everything. Today I had the opportunity to stop by and I was impressed beyond belief. Had two slices of Sicilian and a Sicilian pie to go. Outstanding! Look at these pictures…….needless to say, I’ll be going out of my way to get their pizza from now on. Only a select few pizzerias hold that kind of status in my book, which really says a lot.
March 01 · Joe FaraldoThe slices may have gotten smaller over the years, but the taste and quality can not be matched. Best Sicilian slice in the biz!
May 15 · Michael GaliciaA nice nostalgia feel about the Pizzeria I was in this evening. I have tasted a lot of Sicilian pizza but nothing like this. Call them "RAGU" because it is definitely in the sauce and it was delicious. Nice amount of seating on a cold night. The pizza hit the spot, and it was darn good. His and hers bathroom on the premises. Parking is FREE after 7pm. So feed the meters if you get there earlier. After Pizza I then went to Martha's Bakery for cake and coffee near the Long Island Railroad. I actually wrote a review on that spot. The Review Guru*Long Island NY
