Wondee Thai Curry & Noodles Reviews
One of the best dishes at Wondee Thai Curry & Noodles is their morning glory (water spinach) & crispy pork belly stir fry. It was gloriously tasty :-DMy partner and I have been here twice! Other dishes to try, in my opinion, are their Chives Cake, Tom Kha and Tom Yum Noodle Soup. One small note: their seating arrangement is best for 2 people (4 people max.). If you are a party of 6 people, better book it in advance.
June 20 · Natta AThe newly remodeled Wondee Siam is absolutely worth revisiting. The refreshed space still has that cozy charm, and the food remains as incredible as ever. Of everything we ordered, the crabmeat fried rice, spicy salted egg squid, and crispy pork with broccoli tips were total standouts. Bold, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.I also really loved the longan juice. It was super refreshing and perfect for fighting the summer heat. They recently opened a bigger branch just a few steps away, but I still prefer this original spot. The vibe feels more intimate, the menu has some slight differences, and the prices are noticeably cheaper than the new location. Maybe the rent is lower here, but who knows.Special shoutout to the Thai guy who served us. I didn’t catch his name, but he was so warm and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!
July 07 · Bong ArquizaI was here yesterday (my first time), I’m here today, and I will probably be back tomorrow. No fuss, authentic, and delicious thai food in the city. I’ve been to Thailand many times and this is as good as it gets — both service-wise and food-wise.Crispy Pork Basil - Slow deep fried with a melt-in-your-mouth yet crispy texture. Sauce is extremely flavorful which pairs perfectly with the rice and the egg. Make sure to ask for spicy fish sauce. My only complaint is that I didn’t see the need for red bell peppers.Longgan Juice - Transports you back to the streets of Bangkok. Tastes exactly similar to the ones in markets; perfectly sweet, perfectly refreshing.Mango and Sticky Rice - INSANE. Coconut sauce that comes with it is on the sweeter side and heavy on the condensed milk. Overall one of the best ones in the city.Papaya Salad - Authentic, spicy, not watered down. Crunchy green papaya with string beans, roasted nuts, tomatoes, and the best lime/fish sauce/palm sugar sauce. Can’t go wrong with this and spice is adjustable based on preference.Moo Ping (with extra sticky rice on the side) - This might be the best Moo Ping I’ve tried outside of Thailand and arguably even better than the ones there. The skewers were extremely juicy, tender, smokey, and flavorful. I could easily pull them out of the stick without any meat sticking to it, that’s how perfectly cooked they were. Sauce was authentic too which complemented the meat well. Lastly, sticky rice was phenomenal — grainy, not too mushy, but still chewy. Can’t believe I only discovered this place now and they deserve all the praise. See you again tomorrow!
May 04 · Camille MirandaBest thai restaurant in NYC! If you're looking for an authentic thai food outside of Thailand, this is it! Can't believe I have to leave the city without trying this place again🥹 and the server was one of few nicest people I've met while in the city! Our group ordered crab fried rice, som tum(papaya salad with shrimp paste), seafood tom yum, pad thai, and pad kana moo-krob(crispy pork with chinese broccolli).Fyi, we forgot to take photos past 2 dishes 😆
May 21 · Laura K.If you’re looking for the best authentic Thai food in NYC, Wondee Thai Curry & Noodles is the spot! This gem has been serving incredible dishes since the 1990s, crafted by a true Thai mama chef. I’ve been a loyal regular for 15 years, and they never miss.📌 The food? Always top-notch.📌 The service? Impeccable.📌 The value? Unbeatable.Tonight’s special, Thai Fish Ball Green Curry (แกงเขียวหวานลูกชิ้นปลากราย), was next-level delicious. Made from fresh water Thai fish (ปลากราย), these delicate fish balls are served in a rich, spicy green curry with fingerroot, holy basil, Thai eggplant, coconut milk, fish sauce, and palm sugar. Pair it with fragrant jasmine rice or kanom jeen (ขนมจีน) for the full experience.Craving Thai?
