★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Colorful bar with a decent draft selection, local characters, and an authentic dive feel. They have outdoor seating which was overflowing with baby-toting parents during my visiting.
June 27 · Colin BartlettI was invited to American Cheez by the lovely staff that cooks the most amazing personal pizza pies you’ve tried. It is located across the street from Lore, right off of 7th avenue & 15th street. I tried the delicious small specialty pizza pie called Fungus Amungus, its parmesan cheese, white sauce, and mushrooms. Super tasty, they have a variety of selections. American Cheez is also a full bar, with a wide variety of beverages, beer, and mixed drinks. Every Wednesday night at 9pm is karaoke night. Good for couples, friends, and late night hang outs. Come on by, enjoy a drink, watch some sports, chat with your besties, and enjoy your night!
April 10 · David NeivertGreat dicey experience. Bartender was more than friendly and on top of checking if I need a fresh drink. Pizza was solid for the price and bar.
September 09 · Eric WalkerA unique spot to hang out, where else you can fully dive into an eclectic dreamscape of American memorabilia, listen to a great soundtrack of the "forgotten gold" (do not wait to hear the last decade) while still being able to chat, and watch baseball on one screen, iconic Italian horror movie on another (and was there a cheezy rom-com on the third?). When the kitchen is open, freshly baked pizza is a wonderful addition to your drink.
July 26 · Elina ShahGreat bartenders, beer, pizza and atmosphere. I first popped in here on my way to a show in Prospect Park and this bar has entered my rotation when I'm in the area.
