It's a whimsical, old-school sweet shop—a true destination for candy enthusiasts, ex-pats searching for a taste of home, and families looking for a fun, quick visit.
Fferins (a Welsh word meaning "sweets," pronounced "fair-ins") has carved out a unique space in the Brooklyn community by offering an extensive, thoughtfully curated selection of confections that span the globe. Whether you're after a specific type of gummy, a classic American chew, or a chocolate bar only sold overseas, Fferins of Brooklyn is the place to indulge your cravings and discover something new.
The shop embraces its role as a neighborhood staple, keeping its ambiance local, friendly, and low-key, contrasting with larger, more in-your-face candy chains. The vibrant decor and layout are part of the charm, encouraging customers to explore every shelf and discover hidden sweet treasures. Fferins is truly a place where you can step back in time while also tasting the flavors of the world.
Beyond its vast candy collection, the store also serves up delicious, high-quality ice cream, making it a popular spot during the warmer months. It’s an ideal location for a quick, sugary pick-me-up or for stocking up on supplies for your next party or celebration.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What do you get for that special someone who has everything? A lollipop with a cricket 🦗 inside of it! No but really, this shop has a very eclectic variety of sweet treats and candies you can find for anyone! You can grab loose jelly beans and licorice by the pound. You can find relics of chewing gum you used to chew as a kid. You can even find obscure candy from foreign countries. There’s also souvenir toys the kids enjoy. A favorite is the hidden ice cream 🍦 in the back. Try the s’mores ice cream 👌🏼 or maybe the cricket lollipop really is more of your thing? Whatever sweet treat you fancy, find it at Fferins! Highly recommend this shop ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

May 12 · Steve IgnatiousSuch a great candy shop - a small space but HUGE selection of candy and chocolates. I’d also stop in when walking my dog and they would also give her a treat. ALSO great ice cream in the back on a hot summer day.
