Asian Chao Introduce

Asian Chao, situated in Yorktown Heights, NY, is one such establishment that focuses on providing a convenient and speedy experience for those looking for a comforting meal. Operating primarily as a Chinese restaurant with a modern, fast-casual approach, Asian Chao is designed to fit seamlessly into the busy New York lifestyle, whether you are on a lunch break, grabbing a quick dinner, or simply craving a fast-prepared meal.
The concept of Asian Chao is built around high-volume, quick-service delivery of popular Asian-inspired entrées and sides. They specialize in comfort food, offering dishes like their signature Bourbon Chicken, a perennial favorite among quick-service Asian eateries. The menu is structured to allow diners to quickly select their main dishes and sides, often presented in a combination plate format that is efficient and satisfying for solo dining or small groups. This focus on speed is a key highlight, with the restaurant specifically noted for its fast service, which is a major advantage for local users always on the move.
While the atmosphere is casual and the service model prioritizes efficiency—often common for establishments found in high-traffic areas like food courts—the core offering is warm, freshly prepared food. The kitchen aims to provide a reliable source of quick bites and small plates, accommodating various dietary preferences with options like vegetarian dishes. It is important for New York patrons to be aware that, as a fast-casual spot with pre-set portions, the experience and pricing structure may differ from traditional, full-service Chinese restaurants, a point occasionally noted in customer feedback regarding portion size relative to price for combo meals. However, for a convenient and fast solution for lunch or dinner in the Yorktown Heights area, Asian Chao remains a readily available option.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- What can I say? I was hungry. I’m a fan of Asian food. However this was not it. Tasted great and nothing wrong with the food. Portions are very small. Didn’t feel like I was getting $17 dollars worth of food. It felt super expensive for what I’m buying. Some rice, plantains and some chicken. Also the egg roll. I will say the egg roll does make it more but I had to try it. That egg roll was different size from the Chinese restaurant I would go to. I would honestly say the egg roll would’ve filled me up. If I do go back and get something I would just get the egg roll because I can’t justify $17 dollars. The atmosphere felt very regular like not inviting you know. The trays looked empty. The cashier was very positive and polite. Would I eat here again? Maybe. If I’m really hungry but I would just do the egg roll. I can’t even imagine getting a drink form there to. Probably would’ve brought the total to over $20. I can see them increasing prices to keep up with the mall. So I can’t blame them. Such a shame. But I have to be honest. July 10 · Rene Tenesaca
- So I went there today with my family and decided to have some food from this restaurant. He asked us what we wanted in the plates and never told us that it would be extra if we chose more then 2 sides after all four plates were served. I see it as a way of robbing people. When I saw the price at the register he then told me the prices and the extras. Total came to $73 and even asked me if I wanted drinks which I said no thank you. That would make my food come up to a $100.I'm not a cheap person and we eat out a lot, but be straight forward with the prices and don't be asking what else I want unless you tell me, it would be extra. - Yesterday, I visited the Jefferson Mall in Yorktown Heights with my daughter. After some shopping, we went to the food court on the second floor and chose to eat at Asian Chao. A meal costs $12.98. My daughter ordered rice with veggies and chicken, and I asked for only veggies and chicken, without any rice or lo mein. The server gave me a small scoop of veggies and two scoops of chicken. When I asked for more veggies, I was told I’d be charged extra. This was frustrating, especially since I didn’t ask for rice or lo mein and expected more veggies in their place. Instead, the server gave me one piece of broccoli as “extra” and still wanted to charge me more. The whole experience felt greedy and unfair. It’s disappointing that the restaurant’s policy would penalize a simple request like this, and the server’s attitude was unconcerned. This left a poor impression, and I won’t be returning. - I don’t understand how this place received good reviews to begin with. The food was oily and tasted extremely old. I spent $46 dollars on two plates and had to throw it out after just one bite. The orange chicken was straight up nasty and the rice tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. Never again. This mall needs to work on obtaining better restaurants. Such a shame! - I have Visited Asian Chao over the last 7 years and the food was mediocre in the beginning, However, it has to gotten worse. It is bland, tasteless and poorly resembles Asian cuisine.I could not recommend eating at this establishment until they put a better effort into making their food.
