★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of the best meals I've ever had. The staff was friendly and attentive. The decor was Beautiful, with a mural on the wall and everything. The food is some of the best I've ever tasted. I can't wait to return and visit the other locations as well
September 11 · Melissa ReresDecided to try this place out with one of my friends since we wanted to try Palestinian food but I can confidently say, the food had little to no flavor to it. I didn’t really like it all too much, but I still ate it all because I paid for it. My friends plate had way more flavor and was actually better than my plate, though it looks the other way around. The service took forever and the server took long to take our orders, I’d say we were waiting for 40 minutes before someone came to take our orders. The place looks aesthetic and nice inside but that’s all it is. I would love to try Palestinian food again from an actual creditable source & place that actually knows how to season. That being said I don’t think I’d recommend anyone this place.
August 26 · Isamari BurgosA great experience overall, and would come back again. The menu had a variety of dishes with an explication to each. The first page describes Palestine to you, and a bit about the culture. The mural also shows Palestine and the heritage and history. The mansaf meat falls off the bone and is rich with flavor, especially the sauce. All the dishes we got were good and authentic. The staff is welcoming and I felt welcomed there. The to go bag has Arabic, English, and Hebrew writing on it, another display of welcoming from different backgrounds.Overall we enjoyed the experience and would come back again.
August 08 · Azzam AzizReview: Ayat East Village – A Flavor-Packed Feast with Heart and HeatEvery now and then, a restaurant surprises you—not with fanfare, but with flavor so generous and vibrant it makes you pause mid-bite and rethink everything you thought you knew about lunch. Ayat East Village, a Palestinian restaurant tucked into one of downtown’s busiest corners, is one of those rare gems.We came hungry and curious, and quickly found ourselves worshiping at the altar of the mixed grill platter—a dish so loaded with marinated, fire-kissed meats it could easily be mistaken for a celebration in and of itself. Lamb, chicken, kefta—all seasoned differently, all cooked to perfection. It wasn’t just variety for the sake of it; each bite brought something new, from smoky to spiced to downright crave-worthy. Three of us ate like royalty and still had leftovers. Not an exaggeration, just facts. We did order one additional dish (because restraint is for weekdays), but honestly? The mixed grill alone could’ve carried the entire meal. It’s the kind of offering that feels like a love letter to abundance—both in portion and in spirit—and the price point made it feel almost like we were getting away with something. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a warm, welcoming design that blends modern flair with cultural roots. You can tell Ayat is proud of its heritage—and wants you to feel at home in it, too. The location in the East Village makes it perfect for a casual weekend lunch or a more intentional dinner stop, and the energy inside walks the line between cozy and effortlessly cool.In short: Ayat East Village is more than just a place to eat—it’s an experience that feeds you in every sense. Flavorful, filling, and thoughtfully designed, it’s the kind of spot that reminds you lunch doesn’t have to be complicated to be unforgettable.
June 29 · Katherine NgA Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home – 10/10 ExperienceWe had the most incredible meal at this Palestinian spot—an absolute gem that deserves way more hype. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and full of heart.Pro tip: Do not skip the mixed cold and hot appetizer plates. Every bite is perfection—the hummus is silky smooth, the baba ghanoush is smoky and rich, and the falafel? Crispy clouds of joy. The hot apps had that just-made freshness that hits different. The entrées were just as impressive—deeply flavorful, beautifully plated, and cooked to absolute perfection. Whether you’re into tender meats or savory veggie dishes, everything delivers. And can we talk about Roy, our server? Unbelievable. He made us feel like royalty with his kindness, attention to detail, and genuine love for the food. He turned a great meal into an unforgettable one.We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a place with soul, flavor, and top-tier service—this is it.
