★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The location is nice and service is great but the food was awful. I ordered seared scallops and they came out mushy and water logged. They had an interesting flavor but rather than send them back (which I should have done) I ate them and regretted it. I got a bad stomach from them. Would not recommend this place
July 25 · Clinton WeaverGet the patio on a sunny day. You won't regret the calm breeze and view of the water. Thank you Emily for waiting on us. Polite and kind.I had to get the fish and chips. Big portions. Not a big dessert girl, but got the tirimisu. All over great time.
May 19 · Margaret GeistFabulous dinner with the Mrs. to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary! Mussels Fra Diavlo was excellent as was the lobster roll! And Sam our server was fab too!
September 07 · Ed RubinsteinVisited Captain Jake’s for early dinner. This was our first time time the area and we wanted to try seafood. The staff was very pleasant and nice. We sat out on the heated indoor patio that overlooked the Hudson River ( very nice view) even on a dreary day. We tried the wings as an appetizer and they were so good. Cooked to perfection and piping hot( best way to eat fried chicken). My entrees was a sesame glazed salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was delicious. Definitely will visit again and must certainly recommend that you visit as well.
April 17 · Siobhan MayrantThe food and the service were fantastic. Incredible selection of seafood and it was all delicious. We had the Lazy Man’s Lobster, the hot lobster rolls, fresh oysters & jumbo shrimp appetizers, the New England clam chowder and the lobster bisque. Lobster was cooked perfectly. Probably the best fries we’ve ever had. The NE clam chowder was hearty and full of clams. They have a creative cocktail menu and everything was well-made and generously poured. BlackBerry bourbon was particularly good. The service team works together to make sure everyone has everything they need. They’re around when you need something, but not in your face all the time. It’s SUPER loud inside. We were there on a busy Friday night so it was pretty packed, and it was hard to hear conversations at the table. Next time we’ll sit outside to check out the river view and hopefully have less background noise. Definitely make a reservation. The food was worth it, though! We’ll definitely go back.
