★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The restaurant decor was amazing, simulating a traditional Chinese house/building. The restaurant is structured with pockets of tables on 3 levels which decreased the noise level. My friend and I ordered the yin/yang hotpot with herbal broth (delicious) and spicy broth (it was moderately spicy despite our order for mildly spicy). The recommendation was 4-5 dishes per person so we ordered 8 items. Each vegetarian item costs about $5. The food was fresh, and portions were average in size compared to other hot pot restaurants. The service was great. I think a customer had a birthday and they played a song in Chinese to celebrate. Overall, great place. Would recommend to friends and family!
August 01 · Ying LuExcellent service and atmosphere! I love how attentive the waitress was. She even gave me a hair tie because of my long hair. She also suggested me that to order too much food which I really appreciated. And glad that I listened to her. :-)The mushroom broth tastes really good. It would go well with anything. I also got a spiciest one which was not spicy enough for me. Although I liked it.
June 25 · Gib CMF (Gibby)Super amazing spot for hot pot! I’ve been hearing so many great things about this place from locals, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Absolutely loved the decor, and seating.Shawn was amazing, definitely 5-star service. He gave us helpful recommendations to trim our order a bit, which totally made sense in the end because we were way too full lol. We were also worried that the mild spice level might still be too much for us, but he reassured us that he could add more broth if needed to tone it down. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be back!!
July 20 · racheeatsHands down one of the best hotpot experience I've had. The Chongqing medium spice is perfect balance of spice for your average spicy food enjoyer. Mushroom soup base is also excellent! Our server was on point and was very helpful with explanations where needed. The decorations inside are also awesome! Must try for spicy hotpot enjoyers.
August 07 · Sils Wei (Sil)If Lao Zao Hotpot ever had a superhero, it would be Jasper. He doesn’t just serve—he orchestrates. Every time I visit, he surprises me with a new dipping sauce based on my mood (seriously, how does he know?).What really amazes me is how he calculates the cooking time for my food with the precision of a maestro conducting an orchestra—‘Now, lift the beef! Three seconds more for the tripe!’ He treats every ingredient like it deserves a perfect moment on stage. It’s impossible to have an ordinary meal with Jasper around. He turns hotpot into theater, science, and art all at once. Great? He’s beyond great—he’s legendary. And I can’t forget the warm welcome from the front desk—Xiaoxin is so gentle, professional, (and she so beautiful! )and makes every visit start off on the right note. Together, they make Lao Zao Hotpot feel truly special
