★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Joined a friend for breakfast, really a beautiful location, but they are clearly working on a few things with regards to service. We went a tad on the early side and were the only folks there for most of the time we were present. Staff was lovely, but not focused, almost to the point of funny. We both ordered coffee, I asked for an Americano and my colleague asked for a regular coffee with oat milk. After a few minutes they brought me my coffee and her a small pitcher of oat milk, no coffee; waitress asked how things were at which point we pointed out the missing coffee, she was nice but seemed to doubt that a coffee had been ordered. We then ordered breakfast, companion ordered scrambled eggs with a side of avocado, I ordered an omelet with a side of bacon. After about ten minutes food was dropped off at our table, scrambled eggs were great but I was served a large plate with a piece of bacon and some hot sauce on it. Waitress then asked how things were and we pointed out the missing omelet, again the waitress seemed perplexed and confident that I had only ordered a single piece of bacon. No matter, ten minutes later an omelet showed up. Not crushing by any means, and sort of funny, but odd given that we were the only folks in the whole place. Struck me as odd, but at least it provided some entertainment.
May 25 · John TI was on my way to another cafe in search of an egg sandwich when I stumbled upon this gem. Roped in by the happy customers devouring their breakfast at the window, I entered a totally unpretentious Italian cafe - with the most lovely staff who humored my terrible sandwich pronunciations and granted me a happy, memorable New York Moment. Plus, I paid less than I did for a latte by Grand Central earlier this morning. Oh and the Maiale Piccante sandwich was delectable!!
March 11 · Kate MacKenzieAmazing view of the city, place has such a New York nostalgia feel to it. Menu is insane and the service is next level.
