For any New Yorker looking to experience the best of Crab Du Jour Xpress, the choice really comes down to the style of seafood you prefer—the messy, communal excitement of the boil, or a perfectly executed classic dish.
The undeniable top choice is the Customizable Seafood Boil. This is the heart of the restaurant's offering and is highly recommended for groups or those with a serious appetite. A popular combination, noted by customer feedback, is the Seafood Combo, which typically includes a mix of clams, shrimp, and crab legs. The key here is the level of customization; New Yorkers can choose their preferred seafood, seasoning (with wonderful sauces), and spice level (medium spicy is often a crowd-pleaser for a flavorful kick). The generous size of the meal and the provision of bibs and gloves make it a memorable, hands-on feast, perfect for a party or entertaining at home.
If you prefer a more refined, yet still deeply satisfying, individual meal, the Lobster Roll and the Crab Bisque are worth choosing. The Crab Bisque is consistently reviewed as excellent—thick, creamy, and packed with real pieces of crab meat, needing no additional seasoning. It’s a rich, comforting bowl of soup that’s far superior to most chain offerings. The Lobster Roll provides a high-quality, generously filled sandwich, featuring large chunks of lobster on a perfectly toasted, buttery bun. The option to choose your side of fries, particularly the popular Cajun Fries, completes this dish, offering a fantastic value for a premium seafood experience in New York.
For lighter bites or a table appetizer, consider the unique Hush Puppies or the Fried Shrimp Appetizer to get a taste of the restaurant's fried selections. Ultimately, whether you are shaking up a bag of Snow Crab Legs or diving into a bowl of the rich Crab Bisque, choosing any of the signature items at Crab Du Jour Xpress will ensure a high-flavor, generous-portion, and uniquely satisfying Cajun seafood meal in the Brooklyn area.

Crab Du Jour Xpress Cajun Seafood Reviews
We got the Combo Seafood Boil for 2, with clams, shrimp w/o heads, and crab legs. Everything seasoning, medium spicy for take away. It’s a very big meal for 2 people, and it was awesome! Very flavorful, sauce was wonderful, cute bibs and gloves provided. Very unassuming place, delicious food. Would definitely order for a party/entertaining.
July 06 · Barbarajean KearneyThe food was excellent. I ordered crab bisque and a lobster roll with a bottle of ice tea for a total of $42.Came in to get lobster bisque but chose crab bisque and I don't regret it. It was thick with lots of tiny pieces of crab meat. Very tasty. It came in with crackers on the side but I don't think you even need them. You don't even need to add any salt or pepper. The way it comes is just perfect.Lobster roll was also very good with perfectly toasted buttered bun, shredded lettuce on the bottom and big chunks of lobster on top, all covered in a lobster sauce. It came with a lot of fries. There were 4 choices for fries - I got cajun. The decor and cleanliness of the place was better than average. All in all - good place to stop for a great seafood dish.
June 29 · muzycznamalinaTbh … why is this spot open. I did a build your own bag Cajun blend, spice level medium. Inside of the seafood boil bag it consisted of (shrimp with the head off, black mussels, potatoes, sausage, corn, boil eggs) in that order is how I would rate what “tasted ” good.Nothing in that bag had any flavor ! The sauce had no flavor, no salt flavor, no garlic flavor no onion flavor. The “garlic” was crunchy …The best part was the shrimp. Fresh and plump…. That was my take away. The potatoes were huge and there wasn’t any flavor in that either.. It didn’t even taste like a potato. If you look at the photos you don’t even see a sauce or a coating just shinny 😂Take away no one can top BENS CRAB. I recommend that place to anyone and i stand on that recommendation. Yall really need to do better.
January 16 · Shanice LThe only reason they lose a star is because I had to go next door to Key Food to use the restroom and wash my hands properly! I love the fact that you can get a crab boil and Chinese food at the same time! I got a catfish Po’Boy combo and 4 chicken wings and a ginger ale…it all came to about $24 but maybe I should have gotten the lunch special and called it a day but I LOVE catfish so no regrets! I went because I was in the area and really hungry! The woman was really nice and bought my food to me at the table and gave extra sauce because I needed it! The place was also really clean! Next time I’d prolly try their Chinese food portion of things.
March 21 · Corrine W.I stumbled on this gem of a restaurant and the food was spectacular. I can't wait to return for the other items on the menu. The staff is helpful and ready to help. I love the portions with the fish and chips. You are going to love it.
