★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1On a corner of Central Station sits a small place called Danish Dogs. It is inside the station and you can pass next to it and it wouldn’t stand out in your eyes. One of the things I wanted to try in New York was a hot dog. So being close to this place I said to give it a try.I ordered the Great Dane and got a pretty big package for 7.62 USD.The first thing I noticed is that the bun is not from one piece. It is two slices of bread so when you first pick your dog you have to be careful so that it doesn’t fall.I consider this a small minus because I had no warning and I was expecting the bread to be in one piece, which would insure better handling.Overall a decent hot dog, one to satisfy your curiosity but not one to make you come back to that place for more.
December 23 · Stefan PanaitescuClosest i have found to the actual traditional danish hotdog. And it was really good! Place is a bit hard to find, close to the subway walk way for train 4-5.
October 24 · HenrikSmall selection of drinks such as iced tea, water. Fresh, toasted sandwiches. Invariably long lines at any time of day, since Danish Dogs is nearby an entrance to Grand Central Station railroad and subway stations. Staff scant but friendly.
January 12 · Daniel DonnellyReview for their new breakfast bagels:Pros: the bagels are delicious, service quick.Cons: super disorganized and unsanitary operation. Today the sniffling cashier kept her glove on to hand me change, then she made my bagel with same glove. Yesterday the counter looked super dirty and they didn’t wipe down knives in between uses, so my bagel had bits of salmon etc on it.I keep trying it out in AM because bagels are good, and no line. But at that super expensive price, PLEASE improve quality control. It’s so gross watching!I will update rating if you can get act together. Thanks!
January 26 · Claire K1 guy decides to take a break while the other guy cooks and takes orders. Horrible!!! 10 mins waiting while he made 2 dogs for 1 customer. Then instead of making my order he goes to the cashier to take more orders. I had 2 mins to make it to my train. I said cancel my order give me my receipt. He argued that my dog was ready. It didn't even have toppings. I repeated cancel my order give me my receipt. He argued but your dog is ready and it wasn't ready and added he didnt have some toppings. I left to make my train. 90 seconds garauntee they say. Horrible. Go somewhere else. Save your money and time
