What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Dragon Sea Chinese Restaurant, a few menu categories truly stand out as being "worth choosing" to get the most authentic and satisfying experience this Bronx establishment has to offer. Given its dual classification as a seafood restaurant, embracing the ocean-centric dishes is highly recommended.
The Seafood Specialties: Patrons should prioritize the dishes where the restaurant’s specialization shines. The General Tso’s Shrimp, even with noted portion concerns, has been explicitly praised for its quality and flavor, making it a compelling choice for those craving a unique twist on a classic. Furthermore, the specialized soups, such as the Assorted Seafood with Bean Curd Thick Soup or the House Special Fish Mow Soup, both priced at $9.95, offer richer, more complex flavors rarely found in standard Chinese takeout menus, representing a worthwhile culinary adventure. The Seafood Chow Mein ($9.95) and Seafood with Noodles In Soup ($8.95) also represent great value and flavor in this category.
The House Signature Rice and Noodles: For a filling and reliable meal, the "House Special" options are consistently a good bet. The House Special Fried Rice ($8.95) or the House Special Chow Mein ($9.95) are designed to offer a balanced mix of ingredients and a foundational, satisfying flavor profile, making them excellent choices for either lunch or dinner. These are the dishes that embody the “Comfort food” promise.
Crucially, all visitors must remember that Dragon Sea is a cash-only establishment. This information is vital for a seamless transaction. While customer feedback is mixed on certain appetizers like the Egg Roll and Boneless Rib Tips, focusing on the highly-praised seafood items and signature house dishes will likely yield the best dining experience. Dragon Sea remains a convenient, affordable, and accessible option for Chinese food enthusiasts in the Bronx.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I tried the general tso's shrimp. It was really good. My only complaint is I got the combination bowl and it only came with 7 shrimp and it was 1.50 extra PER shrimp. That was ridiculous to me. I wouldn't get it again because it isn't filling, but if there was more shrimp this would have been perfect.
February 24 · Andre JohnsonMy food was horrible egg roll wad dry no flavor I ordered the pork fried rice and boneless rib tips it was horrible no flavor and the rib tips was chewy the rib tips were not done thoroughly. There’s no flavor in the food whatsoever. The egg taste like soap. It was dry. It wasn’t cooked properly. I do not recommend anyone to eat here.
June 25 · Brooke HerringI attended this restaurant growing up and never had a bad experience until recently! There used to be a different crew working there, and the food taste better, customer service was better, everything just better! After the switch in workers, I notice a difference in the food, the ice tea has a weird taste(had to mention that) and the customer service no longer superb. However, I really enjoyed there chicken wings, sprinkle with salt was just so delicious! If you haven't tried it, you must! So, even though my experiences there was not that great(after the workers changed), food not that great, and customer service poor, I still looked forward to going just for my chicken wings. What recently turned me off, the last time I visit, one of the employees got on me because the person I was with wasn't wearing a mask. I understand if your upset with me for not wearing a mask, but I can't be held accountable for other people actions. I had already told my sister(the person with me) she needed to put a mask on. The employee really irked me when she said she was going to cancel my order. I eventually got my food but I think that's only because the other workers said something(in my favor, of course) . Not only that, I didn't like how I handle the situation so I tried to apologize to her, even though I sincerely felt SHE was wrong. DO YOU KNOW, she had the audacity to ignore me!? I felt that was unnecessary and extremely RUDE! I've worked in customer service for almost 10 years, and it irks me when I walk into a establishment where PEOPLE know they're going to be interacting with PEOPLE on a daily basis and they DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE! If your not great with PEOPLE than why work in that line of business where you'll have to constantly communicate with PEOPLE. Even if she was uncomfortable she could of clearly communicate that in a respectful manner. It's all about your approach, Proverb 15:1 KJV, "A soft answer, turneth away wrath".
March 31 · lareta NThe customer service was amazing. Very nice place. It's convenient they have an ATM machine. The food was delicious and great size portion. I can't wait to come back.
July 27 · Janice SotoIt was fast and it was done. Had the sesame chicken with pork fried rice. It was good. Haven't had Chinese food for awhile so I decided to give em a try. I wasn't disappointed.
