The commitment to quality is evident in their sourcing, with grass-fed meats and daily seafood deliveries ensuring every plate is both hearty and vibrant. This balance of familiar comfort and elevated execution is what makes the Farmhouse a highly regarded spot for both a relaxed solo dinner and a special group celebration.
Beyond the plate, the atmosphere is a major highlight. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with four unique dining rooms themed around the elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Just had my daughter's baby shower in the Air Room this weekend. It was perfect! The food was amazing and the staff was just wonderful! The men hung out together in the restaurant and also said the food/service was fantastic. I highly recommend it and would absolutely have another event there!
October 13 · Jean deBaryI recently moved to Stamford, and my neighbor Ed invited me out to a happy hour at the farmhouse in North Stamford… It’s a bit of a drive, but it’s well worth the wait! It’s a beautiful decor with a fantastic easy-going vibe and a mountain like ski Decor… Very elevated and feels expensive, however, the prices are very affordable for a nice night out. Tim behind the bar is a wizard on the shakers, making fantastic cocktails, and pulling beers. April is also a ray of sunshine, and greets every customer with a smile. Two fantastic employees, at a very Underrated venue. This was a five star experience and this rating should be a five star restaurant.
February 11 · Thomas SolazzoLove this place! Pork chop was outstanding. Ricotta dessert also exceeded my expectations.
September 11 · Joshua StoneI wanted to like it! I heard about this place years ago and it was on my to do list for some time. A neighbor went and raved about it which made me want to go even more. I went today and it seemed nice at first, with friendly greetings and literally the best restaurant chairs I've ever sat in, if not best chair ever. Our waiter was a nice young man who was very attentive and he wasn't responsible for anything that happened that I write here next. I received tap water instead of bottled water from one of the other service people. I ordered a coffee which was the biggest coffee cup I've seen since So I Married An Axe Murderer ("I believe I ordered the large cappuccino, hello!") and I received all the fixings - but no spoon. I ordered some charcuterie and the presentation was big and beautiful on a wooden lazy susan but all the food was bland. I tried one of the aranchini's we ordered and it was not good either. Missing salt and other spices to make the food taste good. The food felt uninspired and lacking direction. And the burrata was the worst I've ever eaten. When it came time to my main meal, it just got worse. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles which came out in a bed of cut up watermelon which I don't like and was not listed on the menu as such - I would have ordered another item otherwise. To make things worse, the watermelon juices were soaked into the waffles making them soggy and just not edible. The butter for the waffles was good but was put on the chicken for some reason which made that meat hard to eat too. The chicken lacked salt and any kind of flavor too and there wasn't even any salt on the table. I didn't even want to try my guest's meal - a BBQ beef brisket sandwich as it looked disgusting. The fries were good though - at least they put salt into something. The atmosphere felt a bit disjointed - like 3 restaurants mushed together with one modern white marble room with hanging birdcage like chairs and modern tables next to a rustic farm room with a wooden floor, a fireplace, and nice tables and chairs (where we sat) and it looked like there were tables with booths in another section that was more casual. The bathroom was appointed with the modern marble style but stank like old urine. When the bill came it was about twice the money for what we could have gotten at a nicer restaurant closer by. I would only go back here to buy one of the chairs in the section I was seated in.
October 13 · John LawrenceWe had a big group for a birthday and our waiter was great! We had a lot of orders, but he kept a good eye on us without being overbearing. After reading some reviews, I was worried about the food, but everything was great!! Food came out quickly and was hot. Prices are steep, but it's marketing itself as fine dining, so it was expected. I tried the grilled octopus, meatballs, dates, and calamari for appetizers. Loved the grilled octopus and calamari the most, but everything was tasty. The bread they brought to the table was warm, and whatever they brought with it to dip it in was delightful. For my main, I had the veal chop. It was HUGE. It could easily feed 2 people. Flavor was yummy. Hopefully, it reheats well because I had a lot left.
