Fish Bar Introduce
In the vibrant and ever-changing landscape of New York City's bar scene, it's a special thing to find a place that is genuinely low-key and unpretentious. Fish Bar, nestled in the heart of the East Village, is exactly that kind of spot. It’s a classic dive bar that attracts a crowd of long-time neighborhood regulars and locals, offering a refreshing alternative to the more high-energy, crowded venues in the area. The atmosphere is consistently described as casual and cozy, making it a perfect place to unwind after a long day or simply enjoy a laid-back night out with friends. It's the kind of place where you can walk in and immediately feel at home, becoming a part of the local fabric of the East Village.
While the bar’s ambiance is a major draw, its offerings are what keep people coming back. Fish Bar is known for its great cocktails and a great beer selection, providing a variety of choices for different tastes. The drink menu features a selection of signature cocktails, all priced at a standard $10, which is a welcome sight in New York City. The bar also offers a happy hour, though specific details are not provided, which adds to its appeal as a local favorite for affordable and enjoyable drinks. However, it's important to note the mixed reviews on the drinks themselves; some customers have found the pours to be on the lighter side. For those looking for a truly "divey" experience with a focus on atmosphere and local camaraderie, Fish Bar is a compelling choice. It’s a place to go for the vibe, the people, and the simple pleasure of a casual evening, rather than for a high-end cocktail experience.

Their cocktail menu, featuring a series of signature drinks all at the same price point, is a notable feature. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Fun low key divey bar. Go for a drink and hang with the long time east village regulars !
July 26 · Ash N. Patelpsa: i’m being as nice as possible. i came into fish bar and ordered a 12 dollar drink, watched the bar tender pour about 10% of a shot into my glass and hand it to me. when i asked for it to be stronger, he claimed it was simply a sweet drink. ambience is par, service is sub par, music is too edgy for my taste. 3/10 would not recommend if you’re trying to drink. maybe if you’re too drunk and want to feel like you’re drinking alcohol, i would say this is the spot.
July 04 · Aviv EdaNo nonsense classic bar with good music, good prices, and good energy. Go on Saturday nights for classic hip hop mixes by Dion.
October 01 · Christian Frederick StevensonCheap drinks and very interesting decor. I personally call this bar the "money ceiling bar". Service from the bartender was fast and mixed drinks were strong. Would definitely come back here for a low key night.
