★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Coffee Project in the East Village is a small, modern spot with a Euro-café vibe (bonus points for the no-laptop policy). Their medium-roast blend—Colombia meets Guatemala—hits a sweet spot: smooth milk-chocolate body with a caramel finish, zero bitterness, and plenty of flavor.I ordered an almond croissant, and the staff offered to pop it in the oven. It came out crisp outside, soft and fragrant inside—no sogginess. They even let us enjoy a couple of pastries we’d picked up elsewhere at their outdoor table, all with genuine warmth.Friendly people, thoughtful touches, and a medium roast I’d gladly order again. Perfect coffee-and-pastry stop in the neighborhood.
August 03 · MaryamWe ordered pour over and nitro flight. The special Colombia natural pour over had watermelon and lollipop notes, but $15 is very pricy even compared to San Francisco. The nitro flight is interesting but the beans used is probably not the best, so the taste is a little flat.Gave 4 stars for atmosphere because the shop doesn’t have a restroom. This is probably common in NYC, so if you don’t mind that, it has great atmosphere.
April 30 · Vera XSmall cage with outdoor and indoor seating. Cocoyam beans are quality and darker, more bitter roast for an intense coffee flavor. Staff are kind and helpful. They also have wifi for work and some pastries. I ordered the cinnamon roll which was perfection - lots of icing and fluffy and sweet. A bit pricey $6.50 but still worth it in my opinion. I wonder if they bake in house?I also ordered a decaf latte with oat milk and it was good. Tables inside are small and there is only one plug so hard to work from by I made it happen.
August 24 · LeonardGood coffee place. Got their seasonal pandan latte with salted coconut foam. Their coffee was not as flavorful as I was hoping for. The foam did balance the pandan flavoring. It was a good pandan drink but not coffee drink. Service was great and quick.
May 20 · Kacy CThe project latte flight is absolutely fantastic! I loved trying the three mini drinks, each one was unique and delicious. I’d totally recommend it to anyone looking for something different and fun. I did take off a star because the wait for a seat was a bit longer than I expected, but it was definitely worth it!
