Gnocco Introduce
Nestled in the heart of the East Village, Gnocco is a true New York culinary find, offering an authentic taste of Northern Italy without leaving Manhattan. More than just a simple Italian restaurant, it's a versatile dining and social space that transforms from a cozy brunch spot into a trendy, romantic dinner destination. The restaurant is named after its signature dish: a savory, deep-fried dough puff that is a classic street food from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.
Gnocco has earned a reputation for its commitment to quality and authenticity. The menu is crafted with a focus on fresh, imported ingredients, and the dedication to traditional Italian methods shines through in every dish. While their namesake appetizer is a must-try, the restaurant also serves up a variety of classic pastas and thin-crust Roman-style pizzas. It's a place that captures the essence of "la dolce vita," offering a welcoming and charming atmosphere that's perfect for a wide range of occasions, from a family meal to a quiet dinner date.
Customer reviews often praise the delicious food and the beautiful ambiance, particularly the secluded garden seating area. While some feedback has noted a need for menu improvements, such as a shift from electronic menus to QR codes for easier navigation, the overall sentiment is one of high satisfaction. The combination of a top-tier culinary experience, a great wine selection, and an inviting atmosphere makes Gnocco a beloved local spot and a destination for tourists seeking a memorable Italian meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went here for my birthday and everyone in the party absolutely loved their food. The service was so friendly and the food was delicious! Some of the best Italian in the city
June 21 · Theresa BrubakerExcellent food and excellent service. Leon provided great service!Calamari was best I have had in a while! Steak was delicious! Wish steak dish had a little something extra than just lettuce, maybe some veggies. Pasta was good, but needed something else for the price. Dessert was delicious as well. The garden sitting area was very beautiful!4 stars, because menu needs a redoing, electronic ipads and not easy to navigate, and I think they need to go to a QRcode system.
May 05 · BlurrrI went here for my friend’s birthday brunch and it was SO INCREDIBLY GOOD. The people serving us were welcoming, kind, and helpful. I ordered the margarita pizza and let me tell you, I inhaled that pizza so fast and left no crumbs. It was delicious!! The drinks were good, the outdoor patio area was lovely, and overall I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place too if you have a gluten sensitivity/allergy!!
January 06 · Milagros OsisWe came for happy hour and had the best time. The drinks were great, the truffle fries make my mouth water and everyone who worked there was incredibly kind and friendly. They made the whole time so much better. We’ll definitely be back.
October 06 · Ashleigh WWe had a little baby shower party at Gnocco a few weeks ago with 35 people. The food was great, service was excellent, and everyone was super kind and friendly. They were so helpful & flexible with planning, and made really cute menus for the tables. Would definitely recommend Gnocco for a group dinner like this!!
